Printamps? What? Why? How many? All is revealed!
Overview
Printamps amplify the capabilities printers by producing fancy materials needed to make fancy structures.
So when you research a new structure, in order to print it you’ll probably need a Printamp.
Printamps are one of the very first thing available to you in the Research Center, so you will get them early and you’ll definitely need them later on!
There are 8 Printamp groups, 4 for turrets and 4 for buildings.
How to use Printamps
So, once you’ve researched and printed a Printamp, land it.
You can land a Printamp anywhere; they will work so long as they have power and clean air.
When landed, click it, you’ll see the 8 groups.
Hovering over the groups will show you what the Printamp enables, buildings you have researched will appear unlocked.
When you want to enable the group, click it, then confirm the Printamp deployment.
Deployment takes a short bit of time and Zapp, and cannot be undone.
Once a Printamp is deployed that’s it, you’ll have to make a Printamp for each of the groups.
It’ll project a hologram to indicate it is deployed.
Take Care of Your Printamps!
Whether it’s the environment or the monsters or lack of power and clean air, your Printamp can be taken offline, even destroyed!
If that happens, it’s not the end of the world, you can always make a new Printamp and deploy it, BUT in the meantime the structures that Printamp enabled you to print can not be printed.
So make sure they’re in a safe place and tend to them if they get damaged!
