A basic guide on setting solar beacons, that are great for marking your stuff, from base to vehicles.
Beacon Setting

Target the beacon press “Setup [C]” to Access the redial menu.
Important! Set this to make the beacon appear on the world map.
Setting a letter/alphabet (Cycles up to G for the moment) for the marker on the world map.
Press this to rename your beacon.
And on the world map you will see the marker with the alphabet you set in it
(the listed name had not being refresh which will only occur after a save and reload of the game).
Do note the beacon like all signature only get capture within the limit of 2km radius around the beacon source, which is denote on the NSEW compass bar at the top of the UI/HUD/screen.
Tips: lay a string of beacons within 2km of each other will greatly help travelling alot.
Put them on your vehicles, greatly help locating if you lose your bearings in locating it, plus it doesn’t need power to light it’s surrounding.
