Nornir Chest Walkthrough

There are a total of 21 Nornir Chests to open in God of War. Opening the Nornir Chests will provide you with either an “Idunn Apple” or a “Horn of the Blood Mead. The apple increases your health bar when you find 3 of them, and the mead increases your rage when you find 3 of them. There are 9 of each, so your rage and health can be upgraded three times.

There are a few types of Nornir Chests. The first kind are locked with seals, you need to destroy the 3 seals in the surrounding area and you’ll then be able to open the chest.

The second kind involves bells, and you need to quickly hit all 3 of the bells with the rune symbol on and then you’ll be able to open the chest.

The final kind involves lining up runes on movable totem poles. You need to hit the circles on the pole to change the rune, once all the poles have a rune matching the one of the chest then you’ll be able to loot it.

Collecting 9 of each will reward you with the “Idunn’s Orcahrd” trophy for maxing your health and the “Quick Tempered” trophy for maxing your Rage.
