Hey there, in this guide I will try to help you using Managers and the HR Manager.
What is a Manager?
With the Manager you control multiple employees to make specific action. You can also assign a Manager to a HR Manager in order to change work days to the employees that you assigned to the Manager. Selected employees will also receive a bonus (speed).
Using the Manager to Produce Stocks
With the Manager you can control Developers, Lead Developers etc. to produce an amount of components. Click on the "Production" tab and you will see this screen.
Always remember to assign employees to the Manager before using this feature.
If the employees that you have assigned to the Manager are idling you can start using this feature. Write how many minimum stocks you want to produce with the assigned employees, and they will start working on it. Remember that items with the lowest stock amount will be prioritized.
This feature has been deprecated in Beta 24, and it has been replaced by the Production Plan.
What is the HR Manager?
The HR Manager, is an employee that is able to edit working hours. The HR Manager will control Managers. Managers will control employees.
How to Assign Employees to a Manager
First of all, select the Manager. This screen will be opened.
Every employee available in your company will be in the list. Use the switch to assign that specific employee to the Manager. When your Manager is a Beginner, you can only assign 3 employees. Once your Manager is "Expert" you will be able to assign 8 employees.
How Production Plan Works
Production Plan has been introduced in Beta 24. The Production Plan is available in the "Production" tab. This is the screen that you are going to see.
You can create a New Rule for different employees types (Developer, Lead Developer etc.) Once you click on "Create Rule" you should see this.
In this screenshot I only have assigned Developers, but as soon as I assign Lead Developers too, I will see another category called "Lead Developer". Define how many components they need to develop, and they will start developing them. Pretty easy, right?
Using the HR Manager
Before starting using the HR Manager, make sure you have assigned employees to a Manager. Research, headhunt and hire a HR Manager and assign it to a desk to get started. Click the HR Manager and you should see this window
We have 2 important tabs: Team and Schedule
The Team Tab (HR Manager)
The Team tab it's pretty simple. The most important part of the Team tab is the "Managers to control" list.
In this screenshot I only have 1 Manager available in my company, and it's controlling 3 employees. As soon as I select a Manager a list of "Affected Employees" will be shown. Please note: The Manager will also be affected.
The Schedule Tab
This is the most important tab. In this tab you can edit: Working Hours, Days Off and Training Days. First of all, let's start editing working hours. Please note: In order to edit "Days Off" and "Training Days", you have to upgrade your employee. Your employee has to be intermediate in order to unlock "Days Off" and Expert for "Training Days".
Working Hours are pretty easy to edit. Use the slider to edit working hours. Please note that long working hours will always affect the mood. New working hours will always take effect after midnight. In these screenshots, you can see that I have edited the working hours. The only employees that are affected from this schedule change, are the employees assigned to the Manager selected in the HR Manager window.
Now let's take a look at "Days Off". If I select Monday and Wednesday as Days Off, affected employees will be at home.
I can also select Training Days. This means that affected employees will be training for the entire day.
