Jurassic World Evolution – A Park Manager’s Reference Collection (Encyclopedia Dinosauria)

An encapsulation of all of the dinosaurs relevant information for Challenge Mode playthroughs.

Introduction

All credit goes to Tulkas!

This reference collection exists to present the most relevant information for each dinosaur at 100% genome with no modifications for Challenge Mode. There are no recommendations of any sort, as the ultimate decision on which dinosaurs to use rests with the player alone. It is also assumed that you have every add-on to this game so that you have access to all of the dinosaurs. If you don’t, then you must either make do with what you have or buy the add-ons you don’t own.

The List below will detail how each of the major sections of this guide will work. The sections include Large Carnivores, Small Carnivores, Ankylosauria, Ceratopsidae, Ornithomimidae, Ornithopoda, Pachycephalosauridae, Sauropoda & Stegosauria. I’ve kept it down to these 9 as its the most concise, despite the potential for more categories.

Classification

Dinosaurs name. Any dinosaur with an (H) or a (P) next to it is a Hybrid or a Piscivore respectively.

  • Unmodified Cost
The cost to incubate an unmodified dinosaur.
  • Unmodified Rating
The appeal of the dinosaur according to the guests. Plays into your overall park rating.
  • Cost Per Point
The amount of money spent per rating point. (rounded up) or (rounded down) is used to keep to flat dollar amounts like the rest of the game.
  • Comfort Threshold
The percentage at which an animal will start to break out of its paddock. For Large Carnivores that number is 70%. For Small Carnivores, whose comfort drops faster in storms, that number is 60%.
  • Paddock Population
The minimum and maximum number of dinosaurs that can exist around an individual dinosaur in a paddock regardless of species.
  • Social Group
The maximum and minimum number of dinosaurs of an individual species that can exist in a paddock together.
  • Susceptible Disease
A sickness each dinosaur is prone to.
  • Primary Paleobotany
Herbivores only! Requires Claire’s Sanctuary DLC to utilize! The plant that provides the highest boost to lifespan and rating. You can only have 5 total plant selections per map, so plan your paddocks carefully.
  • Secondary Paleobotany
Herbivores only! Requires Claire’s Sanctuary DLC to utilize! The plants that provide the second highest boost to lifespan and rating. You can only have 5 total plant selections per map, so plan your paddocks carefully.

  • Harmful Paleobotany
Herbivores only! Requires Claire’s Sanctuary DLC to utilize! The plants that can lower health and drop lifespan and rating. You can only have 5 total plant selections per map, so plan your paddocks carefully.

The reason why I haven’t included the paddock size, forest size, grassland size and wetland size requirements is because those can be adjusted on the fly to the paddocks specific needs.
