Sub Rosa - Weapon Damage Guide

Written by Jules   /   Oct 22, 2019

A comprehensive guide on the damage output of all guns in Sub Rosa ver. 36.V.

Intro

Before we get into this guide i have some info to share. I was going to be a lot more calculated and list average shots to kill along with highest amount and lowest amount of shots, but 9 times out of 10 it took the same amount of shots to kill. So i will just be listing the amount of shots it took most often. Just don't take these numbers as a 100% guarantee but they will be right 90% of the time. Also, i do not count being incapacitated on the ground as a kill I.E. if someone could bandage you and save you, you are incapacitated. If you are looking for incapacitation numbers it is very often one less shot than the numbers i list. I will also list any relevant quirks and info about the gun before the damage list for said firearm.

9mm

Cost: 50$ (ammo 5$)

Shots to kill:

  • Limbs: 12
  • Chest: 8
  • Head: 3

The 9mm pistol is regarded as the weakest weapon in the game and for good reason. It is the only semi auto weapon in the game already putting it at a huge disadvantage. although it does the same damage per shot as all the smgs in the game it has pi$$ poor DPS. Where this gun really excels though is its one handed operation and impressive accuracy. This gun is very good for keeping on you in missions with a low success chance or if you carry the briefcase often. Although if you want a gun to shoot with a briefcase you can certainly do better.

Mp5

Cost: 300$ (ammo 30$)

Shots to kill:

  • Limbs: 12
  • Chest: 8
  • Head: 3

The Mp5 is seen as a bit of a noob gun. Most experienced players use this because they found it on the ground for free. But this gun has some great benefit. For starters this gun is easily the most accurate automatic in the game. On top of that, AIs use this gun so if you are able to take advantage of the good accuracy you can be self sufficient on ammo and not have to go to the gun store as often. Finally, not many people know this, i didn't either before i tried, but this gun has a very little if any accuracy penalty when using it one handed. Out of all the guns i tested, this firearm is easily the best choice for a gun to be used with a briefcase. To me it's a no-brainer to keep this thing around. Pair it with an AR and your loadout is golden.

AK

Cost: 500$ (ammo 50$)

Shots to kill:

  • Limbs: 6
  • Chest: 4
  • Head: 1

There's a lot of debate between the AK and the M16. Many people say the AK has better damage. Whereas many M16 users say the AK has too much recoil. Well i'm here to say that all the claims are correct, in a way. You see, in my testing i could only conclusively found that the AK does slightly more limb damage. However, the AK has noticeably higher recoil than the M16, nobody would deny that. The AK is also 250$ cheaper than the M16. So if you can justify the extra 250$ saved and you can aim it properly, than it's not a bad choice. But for most people i would recommend the M16 over the AK any day.

Also side note do not i repeat do not fire this thing one handed. The guns recoil is so intense it reaches the point of lethality to the user. I myself shot and nearly killed myself trying to conduct this test.

M16

Cost: 750$ (ammo 75$)

Shots to kill:

  • Limbs: 7
  • Chest: 4
  • Head: 1

Ah the M16. The gold standard for all firearms in Sub Rosa to fall under. Honestly the only real downsides to this gun are its price and its one handed accuracy being lackluster (at lest it doesn't kill you though). This gun is well rounded in all departments. If your very accurate with the AK than there could be an argument to use it, but most people aren't. And i'm happy to say that unless you are very often strapped for cash or stingy with your money. There is no real reason you would need to use an AK over an M16. Unless of course you don't have an AR and you just so happen to find an AK on the ground.

Uzi

Cost: 1000$ (ammo 100$)

Shots to kill:

  • Limbs: 12
  • Chest: 8
  • Head: 3

First off yikes. Your gonna spend The cost of a town car to get a gun with the damage of a pistol?OOF. you could buy 3 mp5s that do the same damage and still have 100 bucks to spare. On top of that ammo is less prevalent due to AI not using this gun. The one thing you would think this gun would have going for it is one handed accuracy but NOPE. This thing somehow has worse accuracy one handed than the Mp5. This thing is also less accurate than the Mp5 overall so there is no real point to using this thing unless you have no guns and you find it on the ground I.E. it's your only option. The Uzi is the only gun i can confidently say is BAD in this game. The only thing i would ever use this thing for is to flex on broke bois.
