Bibliophile Achievement Guide

Overview

Some players had troubles with this achievement missing one or another book, so I put them all in one list.

One of the most popular problems with this achievement is… you expect it to pop up far earlier than it actually does. So beware, it pops up pretty late, usually you’d be sure you missed it by the time you get it.

Just to confirm: you will get it only in scenes after the real end-game boss. I mean you need to defeat After Story last boss and get into short epilogue after it. Last “Book” will be added when you get back control over Kou. And it’s the earliest time when achievement can pop up. Downside is there is no way to go back and collect missed books at this point, so if you miss it you’d need to look for missed books during your next walkthrough.

Overall it’s not a hard achievement especially compared to friend notes.

Library

Books here appear as story progresses. Kind of one new book for each chapter. If you miss one you can come again later (as long as you still have access to the library) and that book will be on one of the shelves to read:

Culture and History of Morimiya – Chapter 1 – check shelves behind Shizuru.

Tokyo Disasters: A Primer. – Chapter 3 – this time 1F shelves in front of Shizuru.

Religion and Faith in Japan – Chapter 5 – 1F – check shelves on the left side from librarian.

History of Military Affairs – Chapter 6 – 2F, to the right from Female Student near library exit.

Three more books will be accessible after completing task during Chapter 3:

Pursuit of (Overdue) Knowledge

  • Client: Ms. Komachi
  • Reward: Royal Milk Tea, 200 Gems

Talk with librarian to get this quest rolling. You need to collect three books from NPCs.

  • Erika – Main Building, 3F.
  • Saburo – talk with him near bookstore on Station Square.
  • Tanabe – Soba Restaurant on Shopping Street.

Read the books after collecting them from inventory. Turn them in with librarian. If you forgot to read them before completing the quest you can find them later on the shelves in the library.

Three books from this task are:

Military Mania Quatery – placed on the shelf between stairs.

Great Teacher Kinshachi – 1F, near library exit.

Megacorps Today – 2F shelves.
