BPM: Bullets Per Minute – Special Rooms

Quick Tips

All credit goes to cat4laugh!

BPM can be a bit hard at the beginning so here is a few tips:

  • Your starting weapon can shoot on full and half beats.
  • If your weapon gets locked stop spamming.
  • You can jump on half beats aswell for a double jump.

Though most importantly you need to get a feel for the music and the beat and you are only going to obtain that by playing.

Lifehack: If you are currently not in combat hold LSHIFT to run which is a bit faster than dashing all the time and good for backtracking.

Special Rooms

The Library

To get into the library you require a key. Once inside you will gain an active Ability on your E, some of them need charging time some of them do not.

Side Bosses

Side bosses are smaller bosses that are usually quite easy compared to the rest of the rooms. You can focus on just one target which is nice.

Boss Room

The first boss is not that difficult once you figure out his pattern. Though I highly recommend you figure it out on your own because that is the most satisfying thing to learn about this game.

Bank

Store coins for later playthroughs. Bank will close after 10 coins have been donated. Donating 100 coins will open the back wall which spawns a chest that contains a few coins.

Huginn’s Shop

General item shop. Sells health, health upgrades, armor, keys and equipment. Every purchase adds to your loyalty card and with enough points the shop will be upgraded.

Muninn’s Armory

Weapon vendor. Also has a loyalty system called Muinn’s Gratitude that is used to upgrade his shop.

Casino

Spawns a slot machine that dispenses items for coins.

Item Randomizer

Takes coins and dispenses an item or a random piece of equipment. Can be rerolled.

Golden Chest

Contains a chest that requires a key to open. Usually contains a piece of equipment. Some rooms have an extra section in the back that requires you to take damage to get into but contains an extra chest.

The Disk

Appears before the fight with Nidhogg. Dumping enough coins into it will cause it to spawn an item and that item will remain there until you pick it up or swap it for another item. Items in The Disk will carry over through runs.

Well

Spawns four middle to high powered pieces of equipment with each being from a different slot. You can only choose one, the others will disappear.

Stairs

Spawns in Asgard 1, requires a key. Used to access Asgard Crypts.

Altar

Spend coins to boost stats at random, one point per coin.

Prestige Altar

30 coins to make all of your items permanent. Consumes your items allowing you to pick up new ones.

Damocles Sword Room

Spawns three damocles sword shrines with a variety of items and equipment. Some have multiple swords.

Warp Room

Warp pipes to the first stage of any level in the game.
