A guide on how to obtain all achievements in XIII.

Mission Achievements

These achievements will automatically unlock while progressing through the campaign.

Pass out

  • Reach the truck in Brighton Beach.
  • Unlocked after completing the ‘Brighton Beach – Awakening’ mission.

Infiltration completed

  • Find a way into Emerald Base.
  • Unlocked after completing the ‘Emerald Base – Infiltration’ mission.

Expert Pilot

  • Escape the Canyons on a jet.
  • Unlocked after completing the mission.

Not so secret now

  • Find the secret entrance to the Sanctuary.
  • Unlocked after completing the mission.

Campaign Achievements

These achievements will be awarded for completing the campaign on a certain difficulty.

To get all three achievements, you have to separately complete the last mission on the ‘Sleepwalk’, ‘Field Agent’ and ‘XIII’ difficulty level.

In order to avoid playing the whole game thrice, after the first completion, simply start a new game with the desired difficulty, abort the mission, go to mission select and replay the last mission.

For some reason there is no separate achievement for the ‘Super Agent’ difficulty level.

That was easy

  • Complete the campaign on easy difficulty.
  • Unlocked after completing the campaign on the ‘Sleep Walk’ difficulty.

Made it!

  • Complete the campaign on medium difficulty.
  • Unlocked after completing the campaign on the ‘Field Agent’ difficulty.

Authentic XIII Agent

  • Complete the campaign on the highest difficulty.
  • Unlocked after completing the campaign on the ‘XIII’ difficulty.

Weapon Achievements

These achievements require the use of specific weapons.

Sniper expert

  • Eliminate 5 enemies in a row with a headshot with the Dragunov.
  • First occasion to complete this is the ‘Rooftops – Departure’ mission.
  • The easiest method is towards the end of the mission, before entering the helicopter area.
  • A group of enemies will ambush you, but you can fire from within the building.
  • In case you mess up, reload the checkpoint.

Tough guy

  • Eliminate 5 enemies with your fists in a row.
  • First occasion to complete this is the ‘Brighton Beach – Invasion’ mission.
  • Just kill the first five enemies with your fists at the start of the mission.

Boom! All dead!

  • Eliminate 3 or more enemies with one grenade.
  • A simple way to achieve this is in the ‘Rooftops – Departure’ mission.
  • At the end of the mission, before entering the helicopter, a group of 4 enemies will come out of a shed on the right. Prime the grenade as you run towards the shed.
  • In case you mess up, reload the checkpoint.

Monster kill

  • Kill 4 enemies at once with the Bazooka.
  • A simple way to achieve this is in the ‘Rooftops – Departure’ mission.
  • Towards the end of the mission, you encounter an enemy with a bazooka.
  • Kill him, and jump on the roof to pick it up.
  • Enter the helicopter area, and a group of 4 enemies will come out of a shed on the right.
  • Fire the bazooka as soon as the enemies start running.
  • In case you mess up, reload the checkpoint.

Bar fighter

  • Eliminate 20 enemies with improvised weapons.
  • Kill 20 enemies with any combination of the following weapons:
  • chairs, brooms, bottles or ashtrays.

Do you feel lucky?

  • Kill an enemy with the last bullet of the revolver.
  • First occasion to complete this is the ‘Brighton Beach – Invasion’ mission.
  • The first enemy that jumps out of the helicopter at the port drops this weapon.
  • Empty the revolver, so there is only one bullet left in the chamber, and headshot an enemy.

Authentic cowboy

  • Eliminate 6 enemies with one magazine of the Revolver.
  • Headshot six enemies on a row with the revolver without reloading.

Last word

  • Empty the Revolver using the alternative fire mode without missing any shots.
  • You can alt-fire a weapon by pressing the middle-mouse button / scrollwheel.
  • First occasion to complete this is the ‘Brighton Beach – Invasion’ mission.
  • The first enemy that jumps out of the helicopter at the port drops this revolver.
  • Hits during a death animation also seem to count, so just fire at extremely close range.

Join the Creed

  • Stab 15 enemies from behind without being noticed.
  • Kill fifteen enemies from behind with the alt-attack of the throwing knives.
  • You can alt-fire a weapon by pressing the middle-mouse button / scrollwheel.
  • Easiest way to achieve this is in the ‘Emerald Base − Rescue’ mission.
  • After the conversation between McCall and Standwell, enter the hallway and run right.
  • Enter the first door on your right, which should be a bathroom. Sneak (crouch) towards the guy in the leftmost stall and stab him with the knife alt-attack.
  • Repeat fifteen times by simply reloading the checkpoint.

Equipment Achievements

This section contains all achievements related to your equipment and non-weapon pickups.

Medic!

  • Find 10 medkits.
  • Pick up ten small or large medkits.
  • There are plenty of medkits in each mission, so this shouldn’t be a problem.

Hard to kill

  • Get 20 pieces of armor.
  • Pick up twenty armor pieces (body armor or helmets).
  • Take some weapon damage in case your armor is already at max.
  • There are plenty of armor pieces scattered around, so this shouldn’t be a problem.

I am a tank now

  • Get full armor.
  • Pick up armor pieces until the yellow armor bar is filled.
  • This shouldn’t be a problem in any regular playthrough.

Open sesame

  • Unlock 15 doors.
  • Use your lockpick on fifteen doors, by holding the interact button next to specific doors.
  • The default key is the ‘E’ button.
  • This achievement should unlock automatically on a full playtrough.

Friendly neighbourhood

  • Swing from a grappling hook to another 3 times without touching the floor.
  • A simple way to complete this is in the ‘Spads Base − Covert Operation’ mission.
  • Just swing back and forth between the two bridges.
  • In case you fall, there is a checkpoint right at the start of this grappling section.

Challenge Achievements

This section contains all challenges that do not require any specific weapons.

Invincible

  • Eliminate 10 enemies without getting hurt.
  • Kill 10 enemies without taking any damage.
  • Reloading a checkpoint breaks the chain.
  • Can be completed simultaneously with the ‘Untouchable’ achievement.

Untouchable

  • Complete a level without being damaged.
  • Complete a mission in one go, without taking any damage.
  • Reloading a checkpoint after taking damage does not work!
  • The easiest way to achieve this is the ‘Spads Base − Covert Opertation’ mission on the lowest difficulty level. Only kill the two soldiers on the bridges outside.⠀
  • Another option is the ‘Brighton Beach − Invasion’ mission if you also need the ‘Invincible’ achievement. Set the game to the lowest difficulty level. Grab the AK-47 and fire short bursts, keep as much distance to enemies as possible.

Stealth master

  • Eliminate 5 enemies in a row without alerting them.
  • Easiest way to achieve this is in the ‘Emerald Base − Infiltration’ mission.
  • Just headshot the first five enemies at the start of the mission.
  • In case you mess up, just restart the mission.

Headhunter

  • Eliminate 15 enemies with a headshot in one level.
  • Easiest way to achieve this is the ‘Rooftops − Departure’ mission.
  • Just try to snipe every enemy you encounter.

Pacifist

  • Make it through a level without shooting anyone.
  • Easiest way to achieve this is the ‘Brighton Beach − Invasion’ mission.
  • Just run past most enemies, only hit those that are in your way.
  • Theoretically, you only have to kill the last enemy that drops the key to the truck.

Finish him

  • Destroy the armor of a fully armored enemy, then kill him with a melee attack.
  • Easiest way to complete this is in the ‘Emerald Base − Insertion’ mission.
  • After restoring the power to the bridge, a single fully armored enemy appears.
  • Damage his armor by shooting his chest and head until his helmet and body armor fall off. In case you accidentally kill him too early, just reload the checkpoint.

Note: This achievement seems bugged, so it may take a few tries.

Speedrun Achievements

There is only one timed achievement.

Get to the choppa

  • Complete the Sanctuary cliff section in under 3 minutes.
  • Run and gun the ‘Sanctuary − Cliffhanger’ mission in less than three minutes.
  • This time is easily beaten on all difficulty levels.
  • Make Arny proud…

Random Achievements

Spring break

  • Crash everything at the beach house.
  • Destory all objects in the first aid post in the ‘Brighton Beach − Invasion’ mission.
  • This includes: all windows, bottles, ashtrays, radio, fire extinguisher, glass cabinet doors and the ‘Detox’ jars in the cabinets.

Sting like a bee

  • Destroy a punching bag.
  • Fire some rounds at a punching bag in the Gym of the ‘FBI Headquarters − Interrogation’ mission.

Davy Jones Locker

  • Have XIII drown.
  • Stay underwater, until you run out of health.
  • Can be completed in the ‘Brighton Beach − Invasion’ mission, by jumping in the water at the port.

Get good

  • Die more than 25 times.
  • Just kill yourself, in-game obviously…
  • A simple way to boost this is in the ‘Spads Base − Covert Operation’ mission.
  • At the grappling section, instantly jump off the pipe, reload the checkpoint and repeat.

Collectible Achievements

This section contains achievements related to the collectibles in this game.

There are two types of collectibles:

  • Golden statuettes − 34 in total: 20 characters and 14 weapons
  • Documents − 20 conspiracy members

Each mission contains one or two collectibles.

See chapter ‘Collectibles Locations’ for a full list and location of all collectibles per mission.

Treasure found

  • Find your first collectable item.
  • Pick up any golden statuette.
  • The first one can be found in the ‘Brighton Beach − Invasion’ mission.
  • It’s on top of a crate, behind the last building on the pier.

Catch them all

  • Find all collectible items.
  • Pick up all 34 golden statuettes.

Yet another mystery

  • Find your first document.
  • Pick up any hidden document.
  • The first document can be found in the ‘Winslow Bank − Investigation’ mission.
  • On top of a desk in the room where you can take the woman as a hostage.

Amateur investigator

  • Find 5 documents.
  • Pick up five hidden documents.

Private eye

  • Find 10 documents.
  • Pick up ten hidden documents.

I know too much

  • Find 15 documents.
  • Pick up fifteen hidden documents.

Now I understand

  • Find all the documents.
  • Pick up all twenty hidden documents.

Completion

Completing the game and obtaining all other achievements will grant you the final achievement.

Brighton Beach − Awakening

  • None

Brighton Beach − Invasion

  • Statue 1: Weapon − #02 9mm Pistol
    At the start of the mission, on top of a crate, behind the last building on the pier.
  • Statue 2: Character − #10 Sheridan
    Near the end of the mission, on a shelf at the backside of one of the buildings near the truck.

Winslow Bank − Investigation

  • Statue 3: Character − #18 Winslow Bank’s staff
    In the library section, third (middle) row, left middle shelf.
  • Document 1: Number XII − Lloyd Jennings
    In the room where you can take the woman as a hostage, the document is on a desk in the right corner.

FBI Headquarters − Interrogation

  • Statue 4: Character − #07 Amos
    In the auditorium (presentation room), under the speaker’s stand.
  • Statue 5: Character − #05 FBI Agents
    Towards the very end of the mission, behind a box on the right of the ‘HBT-8’ smoke cloud tag.

Rooftops − Departure

  • Document 2: Number IV − Philip Gillespie
    At the start of the mission, climb up the ladder, but before using the grappling hook, turn around and jump to the rooftop of the building just behind the starting point via the two airconditioning units on the left. The document is on the left side of this roof, behind a burning barrel.
  • Statue 6: Character − #02 XIII and Jones Military
    Towards the very end of the mission, just before boarding the helicopter, on a shelf in the shed in the right corner of the helipad area.

Emerald Base − Insertion

  • Statue 7: Character − #14 Janet
    After extending the bridge, search the cabin on the left. Upon entering, go to the rightmost bunk bed. The statue is on top of the bunk bed, behind a pillow.

Emerald Base − Infiltration

  • Document 3: Number VI − Irving Allenby
    On top of the guardhouse, near the large gate into the mountain. This is on the opposite side of the mission’s starting point.
  • Statue 8: Weapon − #07 Crossbow
    When starting the mission, picklock the first door on the right to enter the second area. The statuette sits on top of a barrel inside the small hangar that is next to the shack on the hill.

Emerald Base − Rescue

  • Statue 9: Character − #08 Carrington
    After the conversation between McCall and Standwell, enter the hallway and go left. Enter the second door on your left, which should be the freezer room. The statuette sits on top of a ‘Handle with care’ box.
  • Statue 10: Weapon − #04 M-16
    After killing the guards and using the key card (before entering the air vent towards Carrington), turn to the right and go into the restroom. The statuette is in the second compartment.

Mountains − Extraction

  • Statue 11: Weapon − #10: Throwing Knife
    In the front right room of the cable car station building. Inside a closet on the right side of the room.
  • Document 4: Number XIV − Harriet Traymore
    In the cable car station, climb down the ladder at the boarding area. Climb the ladder on the pillar on the other side. From there drop down to the air vent and the document should be at the end of said vent.

Mountains − Interception

  • Statue 12: Weapon − #03 Revolver
    At the helicopter area, in the far left corner. Walk between some trees and up a snow hill, and the statuette should be next to a backpack alongside a smaller rock formation on the left.

Kellownee Lake − Exploration

  • Statue 13: Character − #06 The Mongoose Guys
    At the start of the mission after picking up the zipline form the dead hiker, follow a small path through a crevice on the right. Go through the bushes and you’ll find the statuette on a rock at the end of the crevice.
  • Statue 14: Weapon − #13 Double Barrel Hunting Shotgun
    After passing the snowman, instead of going right towards the broken cabin, go left. Use your grappling hook to climb to a wooden platform above. The statuette is placed inside the first crate.

Kellownee − Search & Rescue

  • Document 5: Number XVII − Kim Rowland
    There is an old well on the left of Kim’s cabin. Shoot the inside of the well to reveal the hidden document.

Plain Rock Prison − Detention

  • Statue 15: Character − #16 Prison Guards
    On top of the air vents in the laundry room. Follow the intended route over the air vents until the air vent splits to the left (and right). Take the left air vent, which should be a dead end. The statuette is right at the end.
  • Statue 16: Character − #04 The Mongoose
    After taking the elevator, you’ll enter a large courtyard with a security tower in the middle. On the right, at the other end of the courtyard, is a dark grey cabinet. The satuette sits on the bottom shelf.

Mental Asylum − Fugitive

  • Document 6: Number XX − Dr. Edward Johannson
    From the main entrance, use your keycard to get further into the asylum. Enter the first door (straight ahead) with ‘Surveillance’ written on the wall next to it. The document is on the right end of the large control panel.
  • Statue 17: Character − #15 Plan Rock’s medical staff
    In the morgue, open the second to left locker (drawer) of the middle row.

Canyons − Getaway

  • Statue 18: Weapon − #14 Sniper Rifle
    About halfway through the mission, after walking out of the rock tunnel, follow the path up the hill on the right. Take the zipline next to the minecart and windmill. At the end of the zipline, take the other zipline right next to it (on the left). The statuette is hidden behind the two crates.
  • Document 7: Number XVI − Norman Ryder
    From the previous statuette, use the zipline back to the ledge (main path). Follow this ledge to take another zipline down, where an enemy with a bazooka will greet you. Follow the path downwards, and turn left to a small open area with some bushes. The document is on the ground in the far left corner.

Canyons − Escape

  • Document 8: Number XV − Jack Dickinson
    Near the start of the mission, where you have to use the grappling hook to reach higher ground. Swing to the small area with the broken shed. The document is on top of a crate in the shed.
  • Statue 19: Weapon − #06 Bazooka
    Towards the end of the mission, at the fortress ruins, enter the section with the wooden beams in the middle. At the back, behind a low wall, lies a stone plate. Break the plate to uncover the statuette.

Spads Base − Covert Operation

  • Statue 20: Weapon − #01 12 Gauge Pump Shotgun
    At the start of the mission, after you use the grappling hook, walk to the small corridor on the opposite side of the control panel. The statuette can be found on a weapon crate.
  • Document 9: Number XIX − Ellery Shepherd
    When grappling between the two bridges, land on the small cliff on the right side. The document is hidden under a few bottles.

Spads Base − Sabotage

  • Document 10: Number XVIII − Edwin Rauschenberg
    After passing through the small straight concrete corridor, walk all the way to the left side to a small guardhouse next to a gate. You can find the document in the corner on top of an aggregate.
  • Statue 21: Character − #01 XIII and Jones Civilian
    From the previous collectible, follow the objective and go through the hangar. When exiting the hangar on the other side, go all the way straight and right, its located behind a tent in the corner on top of a barrel.

Spads Base − Destruction

  • Statue 22: Character − #13 McCall and Spads
    This statuette is directly at the start of the mission, on the ground on the opposite outside corner of the broken stone building on your left.

Spads Base − Assault

  • Statue 23: Character − #11 Kim
    After seeing a large group of Spads soldiers passing by, follow them into the next area. In this second area, use you grappling hook to reach the higher storage areas on the left. The statuette is behind a stack of boxes in the second storage area.
    Alternatively, if you come out of the air vent, you can carefully walk on the ledge to the next storage area.

  • Document 11: Number XIII − Steve Rowland
    When entering the large long corridor (with the observation posts in the wall on the right), walk all the way to the end of the long straight. There is an army jeep parked in the corner, with the document in the back.

Spads Submarine − Introspection

  • Document 12: Number VIII − Dean Harrison
    At the start of the mission, go down the ladder and directly go down another ladder into a small dark area with red light. The document is on a crate next to a mop bucket.

Spads Submarine − Evacuation

  • Document 13: Number VII − Franklin Edelbright
    After the bossfight with Edelbright, climb up the ladder in the torpedo room. You’ll have to open the latch with Edelbright’s key. Climb up another ladder next to the locker with the ‘Kate’ poster. The document should be right in front of you on a weapon crate.
  • Statue 24: Character − #19 USS Patriot’s Crew
    After the bossfight with Edelbright, climb up the ladder in the torpedo room. In the room with the ‘Kate’ poster, instead of climbing up the ladder, turn around and go through the door into the periscope room. The statuette is on the desk behind the sonar screen.

Resolute Base − Intrusion

  • Statue 25: Weapon − #09 Harpoon Gun
    At the start of the mission climb out of the water and enter the first area with enemies. Diagonally on the opposite side of this area (in the corner) is a ladder to the balcony. Climb this ladder and run all the way to the other end. The statuette is on top of a crate.
  • Document 14: Number X − Orville Midsummer
    On your way to the freight crane control panel, stop on the middle level balcony, and open the door on your left. The document is in the dark left corner, next to a fire extinguisher, on the bottom shelf.

Resolute Base − Identification

  • Statue 26: Weapon− #08 Frag Grenade
    Climb through the hole in the wall after demolishing the warehouse wall with the shipping container. Use the door on the ground floor and climb the ladder next to the stationary helicopter. Walk to the shack on the other end and climb the ladder. The statuette is on top of a crate.

Hotel − Surveillance

  • Document 15: Number V − Clayton Willard
    In the long hallway, on route to room 41, go to room 43 instead (a guard will walk out of this room). On the left side of the bed is a small coffee table. The document is hidden on the backside of this table.

Sanctuary − Sunset Sanctuary

  • Statue 27: Character − #17 Agents
    After the cliff section, go up the stairs to the main entrance. Instead of going right to the chapel, go to the far left side. The statuette is next to a large white statue.

Sanctuary − Penetration

  • Document 16: Number IX − Jasper Winslow
    At the start of the mission, after the conversation between Wax and Standwell, go to the far side of the large table in the middle of the room. The document is hidden on a shelf under the table.
  • Statue 28: Weapon − #12 Uzi
    In the room where you get the keycard, the statuette is on the lower shelf of a small cabinet with a glass door in the right corner.

Sanctuary − Espionage

  • Statue 29: Character − #12 Extremist
    At the first open area where you have to use your grappling hook, the statuette is located high up on the far side of the room on a broken wooden platform. Thus, instead of swinging to the other side, swing to the next grappling point(s) on the left until you reach the wooden platform.

Sanctuary − Cliffhanger

  • Statue 30: Weapon − #05 AK-47
    After the first zipline, on the backside of the small shack on the right. The statuette is behind a garbage bag.

SSH1 Base − Forbidden Entry

  • Statue 31: Character − #20 Standwell and the Gies
    Once inside the bunker, after taking the elevator, you’ll have to take the long way around in order to avoid being spotted. Near the end of this long corridor, is a ‘computer room’ on the right with a bunch of electricity cabinets and pipes. The statuette is in the second to right electricity cabinet on the bottom row.

SSH1 Base − Anti-Terrorism

  • Document 17: Number III − William Standwell
    After the bossfight with Standwell, grab the keycard. Instead of opening the room with President Galbrain in it, open the other room on the left side. The document is hidden under a desk on top of a weapon crate.
  • Statue 32: Weapon − #11 M-60
    After leaving President Galbrain with the G.I., you’ll encounter some Spads in the hallway. Before entering the door to the SSH1 Red Security Level, go left. The statuette is on the left behind a pillar.

SSH1 Base − Total Red

  • Statue 33: Character − #09 Calvin Wax
    Directly at the start of the mission, pick the lock on the door to your left. In the second room, where you retrieve the keycard, the statuette is on top of a shelf.
  • Document 18: Number II − Calvin Wax
    After rescuing Sheridan, go inside the room in which he was held captive. The document is on the other side of one of the machines in the middle of the room. To be precise, on the last machine in the right row.

SSH1 Base − Abortion

  • Document 19: Number XI − Seymour MacCall
    In the race against the clock section, after you fall down from the air vent, the document is on the right of the control panel near the large window.

Lady Bee Yacht − Revelation

  • Statue 34: Character − #03 XIII and Jones Gala
    At the front of the boat, on a table on the right.
  • Document 20: Number I − Walter Sheridan
    Upon entering the cabin, go to the right. The document is on a cabinet behind the bar.
