Hellish Quart – Characters Move List

Until the developers give us actual Move Lists in the Pause Menu, I made my own.

Guide to Moveset and Attack for All Characters

Introduction

Until the developers give us actual Move Lists in the Pause Menu, I made my own.

All button presses are shown as if you are using an XBox controller, or at least one with the same buttons, like the Logitech gamepad I use. They are also shown as if you are Player 1 on the left side of the screen.

I have marked in bold and underline the moves that I found to be most useful.

All Characters

  • Punish (←Y or ←X): quickly pull your lead leg back, then high attack at the opponent’s head.

Chains – Right Foot Forward:

  • (→Y) has a surprisingly long range.
  • (→A, Y) is a solid combo.

Laszlo (Saber)

While Laszlo’s move-set does share some things with Jacek and Barabasz, he also has plenty of moves which are unique to him. A lot of Laszlo’s attacks chain together really well, even if they don’t count as defined “combos.” Moving from a sidestep attack to a forward or backward attack works surprisingly well.

  • Chain 5 (X, B).

My Favorite Attacks:

  • (→Y) has long reach and a decent chance of hitting the opponent even through their block.
  • (→Y, X) is a great combo because the first attack is already good by itself, but then the second attack comes out really quickly.

My Favorite Attacks – Right Foot Forward:

  • (→Y, X) is extremely effective against Gedeon, Jacek, Barabasz, and Marie. It is less effective against Kalkstein, Isabella, and Father Zera, and terrible against Laszlo.
  • (→B) is really good against Laszlo. The two combos based on it, (→B, X) and (→B, A), are also good.

My Favorite Attacks – Left Foot Forward:

  • (→Y, X) with the left foot forward is pretty good, but not quite as good as (→Y, X) with the right foot forward.
