One of the easiest way to get some better weapons is:

1. Find the keycard in the first level (the appartments).
2. Then go downstairs and to the left and swipe the keycard through the cardreader.
3. Inside there is a table with a random advanced weapon (shotty, uzis, ak-47 or the ar-15 style rifle).

The frames are unlocked for purchase by going through the missions in campaign order. Before that, you’ll only be able to find them in keycard rooms at random in maps!
