You can figure out the order of the colors by going to the city section (with the random shadows walking around after going through the “maze” where you ignore the guy) after being chased by the monster.

There you will see the four colors arranged and the have stones around each color.

The color with two stones next to it goes second, three stones goes third, four stones goes fourth, and the one with one stone or no stone goes first.
