Thanks for doing this. Yeah, the journal is completely useless and full of wrong in info.. Actualy, if you read tutorial quests for any fish, baits and lures stated in the tutorial text are totally different than what is stated in journal as preferred bait.. sad..

Min size for bass doesn’t seem accurate. I’ve caught them on an 8 more times than I can count. Also, frog isn’t any better than spinnerbait for them in my opinion. I use a 8 or 7 spinnerbait and can’t stop pulling them out of the water.
that is the thing, you can catch same fish on multiple baits, lures and soft plastics (not tested a lot) and we are now trying to figure out which one is which.
First of all we are trying what the tutorial missions tell us to be the best – some of those doesn’t work well though… it will take some time to tune it
Just got a Gold Catfish at Lake Corundum, #3 with minnows, lead 70 cm, close to the boat dealer
Same location, several Gold Largemouth with #4 spinner bait, biting at around 5-6 meters to the surface
Sauger – Hook 6 and Minnow worked for me.
with some Catfish and Pikes….
i’d say for sauger, go for 6-7 hooks with bait and you’ll catch gold and diamonds 🙂
