As the shadow fills in, roll just before it fully fills in and you will dodge the attack. Even if you are still within the circle, rolling before the landing will save you.
I find the seamstress works best of this fight with all her extra dodges.
The big thing to note is that a lot of his attacks do the filling circle, as long as you’re doing a roll when they fill you won’t get hit.
