This part shows where to find the hidden Red Gem Location in Crash Bandicoot 4 It’s About Time for the Ruby Red trophy and achievement.

  • The Red Gem is found in Map: N.Sanity Island / Level: N.Sanity Peak.

When you reach a section with disappearing platforms (they will leave behind a blue silhouette and reappear), watch out for a wall drawing to the right of a checkpoint crate. It depicts the instructions how to get the Red Gem.

In the next room, you must jump on the disappearing platforms in the same order that the wall depiction showed. You start on the left-most platform and then go counter-clockwise. The last platform you’ll jump on will be the middle one. It will give you an audio cue on each platform. This will let you know you’re going in the right order. If you don’t hear the audio cue you made a mistake and need to jump on the first platform again to restart the sequence. The image below shows the numbers 1 – 9 for the correct order.

After you jumped on the 9th platform in correct order, the red gem will spawn in front of you. Collect it and make sure to finish the level afterward. You won’t earn the Ruby Red trophy / achievement instantly. It only unlocks after finishing the level.

And that’s how you get the Red Gem in Crash Bandicoot 4, enjoy.

How to Get Green (Emerald) Gem

This part shows where to find the hidden Green Gem Location in Crash Bandicoot 4 It’s About Time for the Emerald Gemerald trophy and achievement.

  • The Green Gem is found in Map: The Hazardous Wastes / Level: Hit The Road.

After the section where you’re rolling in a steel ball (immediately after you break out of the steel ball), attack the trash bins on the left side of the screen.

This will make a remote control and a toy car fall out. Now attack the remote control a couple of times. Doing so makes the toy car drive into the Nitro Crate.

Once the Nitro Crate is blown up, the Green Gem will appear in its place. Pick it up and finish the level afterward. You won’t earn the Emerald Gemerald trophy / achievement right away. You still have to finish the level to make it count.

And that’s how you get the Green Gem in Crash Bandicoot 4, enjoy.

How to Get Blue (Sapphire) Gem

This part shows where to find the hidden Blue Gem Location in Crash Bandicoot 4 It’s About Time for the Sapphire-er Acquirer trophy and achievement.

  • The Blue Gem is found in Map: Tranquility Falls / Level: Draggin’ On.

In order to get the Blue Gem you have to finish this entire level without destroying a single crate! Then the blue gem spawns at the very end, in front of the level exit. You can check how many crates you destroyed by pressing L2/LT. It must say 0/139 all the way to the end. You are not allowed to use Checkpoint Crates either! The lack of Checkpoint Crates is what makes this hard.

Here are a few tips to make it easier:

When using the purple mask to do the :triangle: spin, it is best to do a slide-jump first. Press :circle: > :x: > :triangle: / :b: > :a: > :y: to slide and then activate the purple spin. This will boost you up higher than just pressing :triangle: / :y: . This is in fact mandatory in some sections.

Halfway through the level be sure to step inside the Bonus Path Platform (the “?” Platform). This creates a Checkpoint without having to destroy a Checkpoint Crate.

If you destroy a crate by accident, simply let yourself die. No need to restart the level. Just dying and respawning will reset your crate count. Again, you can always check with :l2: / :lt: when in doubt. Avoid attacking enemies as they could fly into crates uncontrollably. It’s best not to attack any enemy.

When you reach the end with 0/139 crates destroyed the blue gem will spawn at the level exit. See the image below.

Make sure you step into the level exit afterward to unlock the Sapphire-er Acquirer trophy or achievement. That’s how you get the Blue Gem in Crash Bandicoot 4!

How to Get Yellow (Topaz) Gem

This part shows where to find the hidden Yellow Gem Location in Crash Bandicoot 4 It’s About Time for the Topaz Pizazz trophy and achievement.

  • The Yellow Gem is found in Map: Mosquito Marsh / Level: Run It Bayou.

At the very start of the level, instead of entering the little “boat” you must slide-jump to the floating crates on the far right side (to the right of the boat). Via the crates you can jump to a moving platform. To the left of the moving platform are 4 more crates. The image below shows the path from the start of the level.

Jump on top of the 4 crates, hold the jump-button (to jump higher) and do a double jump mid-air. At the very top, out of the screen (circled below) is the Yellow Gem. It’s really well hidden. You can’t actually see it because it’s out of the screen.

Be sure to finish the level afterward to save the yellow gem (no need to pick it up again if you die). The Topaz Pizazz trophy / achievement unlocks at the end of the level.

And that’s how you get the Yellow Gem in Crash Bandicoot 4, enjoy.
