Where to find the four hooded figures and what fish they want.
Intro
The mysterious hooded figures found around the islands will request three specific fish each and will reward you with a book upon delivery. Their coordinates are immediately after their name on the game’s map in parentheses.
If you do not finish their quests within a set amount of time, they will die and you will be unable to get the book. This won’t affect the appropriate pursuit achievement though so long as you confirm their deaths.

Still kicks if a figure dies had 2 die in my run still got the achievement
I’ve delivered them the same fish across two different files, and yes, so long as you complete any pursuit, one way or another (I.E. you lose a character you were supposed to ferry to a certain location overboard), it still counts as completed if it’s crossed out in the pursuit window.
Hey, I got blue dead after feeding him an aberration and not returning for a long time, not sure what caused the death. Probably the only book I miss though
I don’t think giving him an aberration would matter since using aberrations in any other task doesn’t affect the outcome. Then again, the figures’ quests are the only ones that can be failed with time, and I never did feed them an aberration.
i think you have to talk to them one by one, i remember checking gold and red and them being alive before i fed blue, than when i went to feed gold and red they died
I can definitely confirm that they don’t die as long as you don’t interact with them and (at least for me) the blue figure lived for longer than 10 days before dying. I just don’t know how many days exactly :/
Any idea what that “set amount of time” is or when the timer starts? It’d be really useful to know if that quest timer starts upon first interacting with them or upon starting the game.
I can’t say for sure, but someone I know mentioned it being at least ten days. I haven’t tested it myself. I can say for sure they’ll be around when you interact with them for the first time.
