The Petrified Effect
Explanation
The Petrified effect has a Discard condition to it. So when the card is discarded (hence, also when it’s casted) it reapplies the effect to the player.
So you can’t be petrified more than two times in a run, or you will perish. But it’s an exception from the other effects, as all others are removable and not as punished. Also it’s a very rare effect by itself.
How to avoid the petrifying effect
There are multiple ways to avoid the petrifying effect, such as being at full health, stunning the boss, or even being in stealth.
It’s important to experiment with different strategies and take your time in learning the mechanics.
