Dungeonborne – Budget Build Tips for Cryo

I have an heirloom firestaff, blue ring and green boot. Here is a budget build tips for Cryo.

Cryo Budget Build

Nr.1 goal for you is to make sure to get your Crit chance up high and then get Dex passive which lets you get soul energy back per critical hit. I recommend Fire staff with it instead of lightning, as Fire staff lets you regen Soul energy faster than lightning, and helps you kill mobs easier.

Then try to reach your Int passive for more dmg initial hit.

Then, if your using 1 melee weapon(and not 2 staffs) get Stamina passive, its not a big shield but its good. Otherwise get Will passive if your using staffs and keeping distance.

Long term, when you can afford it, Storm Rage 30/30 is good cause it lets you get a big burst dmg at start, slows them and gives you a tiny movement boost to to get distance from enemy. And Tangling chain 15/30 lets you get distance aswell from melees.

Remember, as cryo you are NOT melee, if you see players use Curse to slow them and get distance, and use your sword/dagger charge ability to root them for 0.5s to help keep distance.

Is int higher prio than stamina passive?

  • Dex > Int > Stamina/Will (depending on weapons your using).

I recommend you get Thunder flasks on you always, atleast 3, so you can more easier keep distance.

Beware of Fighter & Death Knight, they usually have 1.5k hp, they can tank alot of your damage since your damage over time.

Other classes you have a easier time against due to their lower hp. But “less hp” classes usually have higher burst damage.

Generelly, very important to keep distance against melees compared to casters. Against casters you want to kill them as quickly as possible since they can burst down your hp very quickly.

Ice block vs ice shield

I prefer Ice shield, primarily due to the 60% movement debuff to melee attackers for 2s since it lets you easier move out of range.

And it lasts for 60s with 30s cooldown so you can always have 1 charge available while having shield. And can help counter enemy cryos dots, etc, from killing you.

Ice block is good against fighters whirwind, swordmaster swordwhirlwind, incoming pyroball, etc. But the heal is neglible and they will just stand beside iceblock charging up their abilitirs fot when u get out, then u die. But your curse heals for about 8hp/s, so if you curse enemy and a mob you can heal 16hp/s for thosr 5s, so free 100 hp. But even so, thats just 1 hit from most classes..

Ice block however can be very good in duos/trios where you can block a door, or have your teammates kill your enemies during the time.
