This setup works well for residents who either generate energy or don’t do much at your base, but have useful hobbies and jobs that can improve your base’s skills and resources.
If you can’t find a helmet to make training dummies, you can make buckets at the Carpenter’s Table to use instead.
Training dummies are better than walls because they have multiple uses. For example, you can have a resident collect snow while you fish nearby. Plus, when residents are near the dummies, they’ll practice their fighting skills whenever they try to move away, which counts as attacking the dummy. This way, you get two benefits at once.
