This guide will help Nvidia card users stop the stuttering in FNAF Security Breach.
How to Fix Stuttering
- Right click on your desktop.
- Open the Nvidia control panel.
- Click Manage 3D settings.
- Go to program settings.
- Click the Add button.
- Find FNAF Security Breach and add it to your programs.
- Scroll down to “Vertical Sync”.
- Use the drop down menu next to it to turn it on.
- Apply your settings (bottom right).
Enabling vsync that way won’t work, you’ll have to do it manually.
Go the C:\Users\(Username)\AppData\Local\fnaf9\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor directory. AppData is hidden by default, so you’ll have to tell your computer to show hidden files first.
Once there, make a backup copy of the GameUserSettings file just in case. Open the original one, find bUseVSync and change it to True. save the changes and you’re done, vsync enabled.
Once I got to program settings it keeps crashing.
After several tries I got it back to global but yeah can’t do any of this now.
Still stutters, helped a bit, but overall it still stutters hard or sorta stutters.
when I go to 3D settings and then click on program settings the window crashes and keeps crashing unless I can spam click global before it closes again.
I can literally not go into program settings
When i talk about program settings and global then it would be safe to assume I am talking about the 3D settings.
Yeah idk why but once I have my mouse on the program settings button and click it the window becomes unresposive for 3 seconds, roughly, and crashes even when you reopen it.
When I spam click global when it comes back on I can open it again and it stays but program settings seem to be utterly broken for me DX
I did the exact same thing the other day but after applying changes, the game didn’t change at all, it still has vsync turned off
