Ability Tips
Ningguang’s Elemental Skill has a 6 second internal cooldown on generating energy, so for the sake of maintaining Elemental Burst uptime, wait 6 seconds to cast again if you need energy. It also breaks when casted on top of another Geo Structure, you can intentionally use a structure to break your first screen.
Gameplay Tips
Due to Ningguang having a really low Base ATK and no ATK conversion mechanics, external ATK buffers such as Bennett is recommended as a support for Ningguang to bump up her ATK stat.
Regarding Weapon Choices: (with external ATK buffs assumed)
- Lost Prayers to the Sacred Winds: A really good weapon with external ATK buffs considered due to having Crit Rate main stat. Even with 1 stack of passive, this weapon is highly competitive with the other top choices.
- Memory of Dust: A really good ATK stat stick which performs better than the other 5 star options if you don’t consider external ATK buffers like Bennett, Pyro resonance, etc, but falls off with it considered.
- The Widsith: A bursty weapon which has a really great passive, however Ningguang can only benefit from 2 out of the 3 passives that this weapon provides; EM bonus on Ningguang is basically useless.
- Dodoco Tales: Being an ATK weapon, it falls off if compared to the other 4 star options such as Solar Pearl and The Widsith with external ATK buffs considered, but can perform better without it considered.
Regarding Artifact Sets:
- Retracing Bolide (4): Bolide grants you an additional 40% Normal and Charged Attack DMG when shielded. Crystallize can be unreliable so a consistent shielder is preferred, such as Zhongli.

Ability Tips
Walk through the Jade Screen created from Ningguang’s Elemental Skill before casting Elemental Burst to benefit from the Geo DMG% bonus provided from her A4 Talent.
Gameplay Tips
A Burst Support Ningguang is basically a quickswap DPS Ningguang, you don’t do Normal Attacks & Charged Attacks as much, so your main source of damage comes from your Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst.
Regarding Weapon Choices: (with external ATK buffs assumed)
- Lost Prayers to the Sacred Winds: Falls off a bit if compared to Skyward Atlas due to not being able to stack the passive reliably, but it’s still a Crit weapon which makes stat building much easier.
- Memory of Dust: A really good ATK statstick which can perform better than the other options if you don’t consider external ATK buffers like Bennett, Pyro resonance, etc, but falls off with it considered.
- Solar Pearl: Due to Solar Pearl’s passive being able to buff quite a huge percentage of a quickswap Ningguang’s damage (Elemental Burst Damage), with external ATK buffs it performs similarly to Memory of Dust.
