Halo Infinite – Hidden Features

Tips for Infinite that I think most people aren’t aware of.

1. There is a ping feature, called Mark. It can be rebound in the menu, but by default is bound to X.

2. You can now drop your weapon, so running around to find a gun that you can use to drop a power weapon is unnecessary. Bindable in the menu.

3. Flag Holders as well as Skull holders no longer have the added benefit of one-hitting enemy players with their Melee.

4. The Player holding the Oddball melees faster than others, sticking to a corner wall to start beating someone earlier is very useful.

5. Flag Holders can now Sprint.

6. Power Cells can be placed into the Warthog for faster movement.

7. Throw Power Cells with left click to move large amounts of them at once and capitalize on a time advantage.

8. Your microphone can occasionally switch to Open Mic, you can see your audio indicator on the scoreboard to check this.

9. You can grapple enemy players as well as physical objects/vehicles, obvious but keep this in mind to increase your odds of surviving more encounters.

10. The real strength in shotguns e.g. the Mauler and Bulldog isn’t in their potential to kill quickly, but their ability to guarantee a near instant kill with a shoot + melee combo. Guard flag/skull holders in a tight room with a shotgun and enjoy.

11. There are badges for nearly everything having to do with teamplay, including driving for capable gunners. Don’t feel the need to auto lock yourself into the gunner seat because you want a good score.

I love games and I live games. Video games are my passion, my hobby and my job. My experience with games started back in 1994 with the Metal Mutant game on ZX Spectrum computer. And since then, I’ve been playing on anything from consoles, to mobile devices. My first official job in the game industry started back in 2005, and I'm still doing what I love to do.

  1. you can grapple guns, flags, power cells, etc
push power can also repel rockets back at user! Like TF2 pyro!

  2. In addition; you can change your weapon viewmodel position at the bottom of your UI settings.
Might be helpful for some to get a bit more screen space so they aren’t obscured by certain weapons.

  3. Power Seeds can be juggled by spamming scroll wheel ( weapon swap) and E (pickup/use) you can move around 3/4 at a time and a constant running pace too

  4. “5. Flag Holders can now Sprint.”

You forgot to mention that Sprinting with the flag – much like flag juggling – will reveal you. Just something I’d like to point out, since new players might not notice it, despite the audio and visual cues.

  5. The default binding is scroll wheel I think, but if you have it bound to a key, holding “Switch Weapon” will also drop your current weapon.

  6. “There are badges for nearly everything having to do with teamplay” except for sneaking into their base, getting the flag, and getting it 99% the way back before getting sniped and having a teammate get all the points

  7. Plasma grenades can be used to launch power weapons off the floating spawns back towards you, useful when you don’t want to run out into the open to grab it. Especially on the map Recharge for getting the gravity hammer pickup.

  8. you should mention that you can grapple a dropped flag toward you (only works if the flag has been taking from it’s original point) and that the repulsor can be used to push power cells (very useful if you’re the first one at the power cells)

  9. the repulsor can be used to boost jump, look down jump and pop it for added height. idk how unknown it is but i have only seen me do it
