Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions – Pros and Cons of Each Role (Solo Queue)

Pros and Cons of Each Role

Seeker

Pros:

  • Kinda good if the Snitch can be caught quickly.
  • Typically considered high threat, so 2 out of 3 players may focus on you.
  • Gives you time to play Chaser exclusively.

Cons:

  • Capped scoring potential in terms of total points and time. (This is technically not entirely true, but the idea is there!)
  • Opposing Chasers could score more than 30 points while you’re chasing the Snitch.

Beater

Pros:

  • Can easily take down priority targets compared to other roles.
  • Has ranged attacks (disrupt Quaffle carrier, faster Seekers, etc.).
  • Can swap to Chaser with fewer potential loses than swapping to Chaser as a Seeker.
  • Can counter the opposing Beater, reducing their impact.

Cons:

  • Might need to play defensively, which takes away time from scoring as Chaser. (e.g., preventing the opposing Seeker from catching the Snitch, stopping the other Beater, or maintaining Quaffle control).

Keeper

Pros:

  • Unlimited scoring potential as Chaser, except for the time between goals.
  • No other major responsibilities except keeping.

Cons:

  • The performance of your team’s Seeker and Beater, as well as the opposing team’s, can make your life much harder.
