Farming
Within the first major update of Hokko Life, the game was introduced to the Farming Update. The farm area was added and the entrance is found within the Forest Path area. It is the second exit off the path, the one after the taking left to the water. Players will find this entrance way blocked until they meet the deer NPC Aubrey in Oma’s inn.
For those who didn’t see the Villagers & NPCs guide, here are Aubrey’s unlocks:
You’ll need to have planted 15 trees and 10 flowers, 10 in-game days passed, decorate the meadow area, unlocked Rosa’s store, met Derris and been given the ability to fish!

The farming area, you first get both a hoe to tile the ground to plant-able soil and a watering can to of course water and keep your crops alive. You’ll need to water your crops daily to have them grow.
Missing one day will cause the crops to dry up but watering them will be able to bring back their health but missing more than one day will cause the crops to die and be unsaveable. You can also leave the crops planted when fully grown, they don’t seem to wither away once fully grown.
To gain the seeds to grow your own crops, you’ll speak with Aubrey who will sell them in her store.

Aubrey sells a great many different types of seeds but all the crops and fruit tress will have information show up on the right when your cursor is hovering over the seed in question. It’s important to note what season these seeds need. For crops they will only grow in the correct season, finding yourself planting a seed in the wrong season will make the seed only vanish and be of waste. Fruit trees can grow throughout the season but will only produce fruit in the seasons the information give.
Some Unlock Information
When comes to farming area you’ll notice a back area with a closed fence gate blocking your path to explore. It can give you more space to plant more crops, fruit trees, place houses or do whatever you’d like in!
