hey so basically you need to buy the backpack, press I for inventory and move it from your hand to your backpack slot, this will open up 2 more slots, then one by one pick a bat up go into your inventory and move it to your empty slots, and carry the 3rd one in your hand it will then say talk to the beggar, when you sleep for a couple nights the bats reset from what ive seen
