MARVEL SNAP – We Can Rock! (Young Avengers) Deck Build

We Can Rock! Young Avengers Deck

By Warrening.

This deck is chock full of synergies that are especially impactful in this metagame. I cooked this deck by brainstorming a Wiccan deck that does not need Athena (as I do not own her yet). It is a Wiccan deck that blends some common synergies between two popular packages: Clog and Hawk, with Sersi and Wiccan as the glue holding it together.

What is excellent about this deck is you are not DOA without Wiccan as the deck functions very nicely with the normal amount of energy. It also has just the right cards to take that extra energy and run with it when you do Wiccan. It has been preforming excellently for me on ladder and conquest.

Card by Card Breakdown

  • The Hood – The hood is an excellent card to play with Wiccan just as Kitty Pride and Kate are. On top of that, The Hood is a great part of the clog package we are running which is very strong in the current metagame. Lastly, Demon synergies great with both Hawk and Sersi to give you a strong 5+1 t6 play if you do not Wiccan.
  • Spider-Ham – As a Wiccan deck we need to play at least three 1-drops. Spider-ham works great in this deck for two reasons. 1) The disruption he gives you is face up which allows you to capitalize on your snaps. Even though sometimes Ice Man’s disruption is better, you do not know when his disruption has won you the game so you cannot snap it. Not so with Spider-ham. Snap aggressive when he hits the opponents key pieces. 2) Spider-Ham is one of the most satisfying cards to Sersi as he can become a 1/3 regularly with a strong ability.
  • Korg – You are a Darkhawk deck so you run Korg.
  • White Widow – As I mentioned with The Hood, clog is a great sub theme to have in any deck and White Widow is core to this. She is another excellent Sersi target.
  • Kate Bishop – You are running Kate Bishop for three reasons. 1) She helps fill your hand with 1-drops helping you use all your energy until you Wiccan. 2) Acid arrow is bananas good and it apart of our clog package. Playing acid arrow and white widow on t3 is unfair. 3) She gives you good 1-drops to use energy on AFTER you Wiccan.
  • Cassandra Nova – Cassandra Nova is in here for a couple reasons. She is a strong 3-drop to fill in the Wiccan curve that also benefits from Korg and Rocklside. She helps you against the random Arishem decks and is just generally very solid.
  • Rocklside – You are a Darkhawk gamer so you run rockslide. Serves as a good Sersi target and fuels Hawk/Cassandra and adds disruption. Plus the Hipp variant is SOOOO good.
  • Viper – Viper is very strong for clog. You can use her on the Hood, Spider-Ham, and White Widow to clog. Important note, is she is one of the few cards in this deck that you do not want to Sersi unless you have to.
  • Wiccan – Wiccan is an amazing energy cheat tool. With his energy we are able to combine our normal non-Wiccan endgame plan with powerful low cost cards to gain a great edge against out opponent.
  • Dawkhawk – Darkhawk is one of my fav cards. He’s big, his package adds disruption, and he’s a 5 drop which gives you more flexibility than a 6 drop has.
  • Sersi – Besides Wiccan, Sersi is part of the glue for this deck. This deck is composed of a ton of cards (The Hood, Spider-Ham, Widow, Rocklside) that are under-stated but are valued for their on reveals. Sersi allows you get the payoff for each of the cards then just make them bigger. Sersi is also a great defenses tool against all the clog gamers out there.
  • Alioth – This is the tech card in this deck. It is meant to be used both defensively to protect Hawk against Shang Chi and offensively to shut down what the opponent is doing that can go over the top. He is just good and can win you the game so often by being played on t5 especially.
