Definitive Guide to Healing Class

Introduction

I will provide my thoughts and experiences on every game mode for the Healing class. I will shortly explain what the game mode is about and afterwards what your task as a healer is (since this is a Healer-only-guide). Before jumping into the guide, let’s take a look on loadouts. Every Loadout consists of:

  • 2 Jutsu
  • 1 Ninjatool
  • 1 Substitution
  • 1 Secret Technique
  • 3 Outfit-Perks
  • 1 Weapon

While being in a match, you can choose between a set of four different Loadouts, once you are respawning. For this reason, you should have different Loadouts for every game mode, tob e able to adapt to different situations. I recommend when playing healer that you construct 3 Healer-Loadouts an one „Other-Class“-Loadout. If there are too many healer on a team, you probably won’t die, but you won’t get a kill either. So having the option to switch class may be come in very handy. Which class to choose here depends on yourself, just pick whatever you feel confident with. As of Weapons, the Healer hast two viable options: Ninja Swords or the Umbrellas/Naginata. Here you have to look for availability, since most oft he weapons come from Esoteric Scrolls. When you’ve got the Tobirama Senju DLC, you will get his sword. That is a decent start. Otherwise, use what you have or which suits your playstyle more.

Since this guide will give you ideas of how to build a your character, I will refere to this structure of loadouts. This way, you will have more space to make something you like and what is available to you. Most of the Jutsu (abilities in-game) come from DLC-Characters for which you have to pay money. With said structure, you can fill the spots with your personal „resources“.

Healer are quite poweful so let’s find out.

Combat Battles (Team-Deatch-Match)

What‘s the goal?

Defeat the enemy team (10 respawns/team).

What’s the Healers Task?

The main task of the Healer ist to heal. It sounds obvious, but it is a little but more than that.

To be able to heal, you have to consider a few things:

  1. To heal your allies you need healing abilities. In generel, it is recommended to have 1 Healing Jutsu, 1 Healing Ninjatool and one Healing Secret Technique. Depending on your team/playstyle, you can vary these things, but to be fully capable of continues healing, you have to have at least to major healing abilites on you.
  2. To heal your allies, you have to be alive. Sounds simple, but can be quit difficult. To achieve this task, mastering movement is key. Since I am nothing near perfect with my movement, take on of the many guides already existing. Nevertheless, here are some of my „best-practices“:

Keep moving. A standing Target is an easy target.

Stay above the fight: Always use the high ground. You can see enemys and allies, you can oversee the map and potential spots to hide (and you can chop of Anakins limbs when he tries to jump you).

Use a substitution that buys some time when using while you are getting target. In my opinion, Space-Time-Hop and Shadow-Clone-Substitution are the best options here. Space-Time-Hop gives you invulnerability for a short period of time. The Shadow Clone offers the Enemy a target to hit while you are running away.

  1. To heal your allies, you have to stick with your teammates. This ist deeply connected to the movementpart. But here you should also consider, that your can heal trough walls. If your are low on health yourself, look for an object to get yourself out of the line of sight (but still in range to your healing target). Most Jutsu cannot penetrate walls, so it is relativly safe behind it. Just keep in mind, some Jutsu can shoot trought and your won’t see them comming (since you’re hiding behind a wall).

Let’s talk loadouts

For Death-Match, I recommend the following options:

First Option is the „fully support your team“-Option. Go with a healing and a support Jutsu. Healing Tags as Ninjatools and a healing or controling secret technique. This ist the go to option when you are in a team with enough damage.

Heal | Support | Healing Seal 2 | Sub | Healing+Dmg/CrowdControl

Second is my normal go-to-build-option. 1 Healing Jutsu/Support Jutsu, one damaging Jutsu, Healing Tags and a healing and damaging Secret technique. Perks are the same as above. With this build, you can support your team and you are able to fight for scrolls or to fight back an attacker more efficiantly. I recommend a damaging jutsu which serves a certain purpose and which does not force you to go straight in the middle of a fight e.g. 8 Trigrams Air Palm is a ranged Jutsu that deals damage and seals enemys Jutsu.

Heal | Dmg | Healing Seal 2 | Sub | Healing+Dmg

Third Option would be the Combat Healer. This builds can be quit different and mostly used for Ninja World Face Off, but for Deathmatch, they can spice up the game. As a Combat healer, you are mostly focused on dealing damage, but you still have the ability to sneak in a healing or a support move your team can (and will) benefit from. As a Combat healer, i recommend a build focused on Damage with one (1) Healing or Support ability. This can be your Secret Technique, A Jutsu or a ninjatool, this is completely up to you. Go try things out and experiment with whats works together great. Here are three recommendations for a combat healer loadout:

  • Heal | Dmg | Sealing Seal 2| Sub | Heal+Dmg
  • Dmg | Dmg | Healing Seal 2| Sub | CC
  • Dmg | Support | Sealing Seal 2 | Sub | Heal+Dmg

Clothing perks are:

  • First Blood (+Secret Technique gauge).
  • Clear Mind (-Ninjutsu Cooldown).
  • One in a Million (-Ninjutsu Cooldown when losing health).

Which Jutsu should you take?

Keeping in mind our Build-Options, we differ between the following types of Jutsu: Healing, Support and Damage. In addition we take a look at Ninjatools and Secret Techniques. On each of thes categories I’ll name my top Picks (and where to get them).

Healing Jutsu:

  • Cellulare Extration (Sakura).
  • Palm Sage Jutsu (Character Creation).
  • Summoning Slug (Character Creation; stationary heal).
  • Mind Transmission Palm Sage Jutsu (Ino DLC; you cannot move while using it).

Support Jutsu:

  • Earth Style: Super Lightened Boulder Jutsu (Ohnoki DLC).
  • Strenght of a Hundred: Flower Cannon (Sakura War Arc DLC).
  • Six Paths Chakra: Rebirth (Naruto Last Battle DLC).
  • Tsukuyomi (Itachi reanimated DLC).

Damage Jutsu:

  • Yasaka Beads (Itachi reanimated DLC).
  • 8 Trigrams Air Palm (Hinata).
  • Truthseeker Orbs: Cycle (Naruto Last Battle DLC).
  • Nervous System Rupture (Tsunade DLC; can be „abused“ to get around the map).
  • Chakra Skalpel (Kabuto).
  • Heavy Boulder Jutsu (Character Creation).

Ninja Tools:

  • Healing Seal 2.
  • Sealing Tag.
  • Sealing Tag: Fake (Esoteric Scrolls).
  • (Cannot think of a decent 4th Option).

Secret Techniques:

  • Six Paths: Massive Rasen Shuriken (Naruto Last Battle DLC).
  • Izanami (Itachi reanimated DLC).
  • Slug: Long Distance Healing (Tsunade DLC).
  • Uchiha Shuriken Jutsu: Spring Storm (Sarada).
  • Insect Jamming Technique (Character Creation).
  • Mitotic Regeneration (Sakura).

Flag Battles

What’s the goal?

Capture two oft he enemys flags before they do it.

What‘s the Healers task?

In Flag Battle, there are two different roles: Runner and Defender. The Runner goes capturing flags, the Defender defends your own flag and tries to make kills (for each kill, the flag will be captured faster, up to four times). Wether you are a Runner or a Defender, as a healer everybody will be happy if you have at least one way to heal a bit, thats to keep in mind. The rest is just play the objective. Sounds simple, is simple (depending on the teams).

Let’s talk loadouts

As mentioned before, there are two roles you can fit in, so we should build loadouts for each role. In addition to that, as a healer, i like to have a hybrid build, which I will explain in the first place, but beforehand some general informations:

  • On every build, I use Izanami. It resets your Ninjutsu (more useage), it resets the enemies position (comes in very handy if an enemy with the flag runs away, ), it can stun enemys ( make them stop chasing you, make them pitfall, make them stop to return your flag… endless posibilites :D).
  • On every build I use Healing Seal 2. The can heal and you don’t realy have another better option, so why not. Everybody will be happy about some nice heals.
  • On every build I use Space Time Hop. When you are carrying the flag, any „explosive“ abilitiy that hits you will make you drop the flag. While you are invincible (Space-Time-Hop-Buff), you won’t be hit and as a result, you won’t drop the flag. That’s pretty neat.
  • On every build, I use the same clothing perks:
    • Clothing perks are:
      • First Blood (+Secret Technique gauge).
      • In a Flash (+ Movement Speed).
      • One in a Million (-Ninjutsu Cooldown when losing health).

Now for the Loadouts:

Hybrid Loadout: One Running Jutsu, One Defending Jutsu, Healing Tags, Space Time Hop, Izanami. As a healer you are supporting your team. With a Jutsu for every Role, you can help where it is currently needed.

Run | Def | Healing Tag | STH | Izanami

Runner Loadout: As a runner, you will be able to move fast across the map. Certain Jutsu will help you with that, so you will have these available to you.

Run | Run | Healing Seal | STH | Izanami

Defender Loadout: As a defender, you want to defend your flag and retrieve it. You also want to kill enemies fast and hit them with a knock them off, to drop the flag. I recommend a defending Move and a knock of enemys to make them drop the flag.

Def | Hit | Healing Seal 2 | STH | Izanami

Which Jutsu should you take?

For Flag Battle we hace the following categories for Jutsu: Running, Defending, Hitting. Ninja tools and Secret techniques will also fit in these categories, so they won’t be looked at seperately.

Running:

  • Nervous System Rupture (Tsunade DLC).
  • Chakra Skalpell (Kabuto).
  • Earth Style: Super Lightened Boulder Jutsu (Ohnoki DLC).
  • The 100 Healing Jutsu (Sakura War Arc DLC; Secret Technique).

Defending:

  • Water Style: Water Pillar (Mei DLC).
  • Truthseeker Orbs: Cycle (Naruto Last Battle DLC).
  • Limbo: Border Jail (Madara Six Path DLC).
  • Tsukuyomi (Itachi reanimated DLC).
  • Summoning: Slug (Character Creation).
  • Feather Illusion (Kabuto; Secret Technique).

Hitting:

  • Yasaka Beads (Itachi reanimated DLC).
  • 8 Trigrams Air Palm (Hinata).
  • Truthseeker Orbs: Cycle (Naruto Last Battle DLC).

Base Battles

What’s the goal?

Your goal as a team ist o capture and hold at least two oft he three bases to gain points. The team with more points at the end wins. Alternatively the team that reaches the maximum points first wins the game.

What‘s the Healers task?

Your task are a mixture of Team Death Match and Flag Battle. You can run an capture bases, or you can defend an already captured base. When you are runnig, you want to be able to survive on your own, having something to battle and somthind that helps capturing a base. As a defender, you want to support your team with heals and base-holding abilities. As clothing perks I recommend the same as in Team Death Match.

Let’s talk loadouts

Again, we have different roles, so we will build a Loadout for each of them.

Runner: One movement supporting Jutsu, one Damaging Jutsu that allows Area Control, Healing Seal 2 as survival Option and a Secret Technique that supports your Area Control.

Movement | Area-Dmg | Healing Seal 2 | Sub | Area

Defender: One Defending Jutsu, one Healing/Damaging Jutsu, Healing Seal 2 or Sealing Tag, Supporting Secret technique. When you are taking the Healing Seal 2, use a damaging Jutsu, when you are using Sealing Tag, use a healing Jutsu. With your Secret technique, you have two options: Either you take an Area Control technique, or a long range Heal, so you can heal while staying on your current base.

Def | Heal/Dmg | Healing Seal 2/Sealing Tag | Sub | Support/Area

Since we are building 3 Loadouts for each Gamemode, you still got space for one aditional build. Here you can go cazy with some experimental builds or somthing, that realy fits ypur playing style in Base Battle. I personally think Base Battle is one of the most difficult gamemodes, since it requires team coordination, build-synergy and map knowledge. Play it and figure out, what’s your playstyle.

Clothing perks are:

  • First Blood (+Secret Technique gauge).
  • Clear Mind (-Ninjutsu Cooldown).
  • One in a Million (-Ninjutsu Cooldown when losing health).

Which Jutsu should you take?

We have the following categories for our Jutsu:

Movement-based Jutsu (same as for Flag):

  • Nervous System Rupture (Tsunade DLC).
  • Chakra Skalpell (Kabuto).
  • Earth Style: Super Lightened Boulder Jutsu (Ohnoki DLC; boosts Secret Technique!).

Area-Controlling Jutsu:

  • Water Style: Water Pillar (Mei DLC).
  • Truthseeker Orbs: Cycle (Naruto Last Battle DLC).
  • Limbo: Border Jail (Madara Six Path DLC).
  • Yasaka Beads (Itachi reanimated DLC).

Healing/Supporting Jutsu:

  • Summoning: Slug (Character Creation).
  • Cellulare Extration (Sakura).
  • Mind Transmission Palm Sage Jutsu (Ino DLC; Range across the hole map; perfect for hiding in Water Pillar or Sand Shield).
  • Green Rain Ground Hold (Sarada).

Ninja Tools:

  • Healing Seal 2.
  • Sealing Tag.
  • Sealing Tag: Fake (Esoteric Scrolls).
  • Scientific Ninja Tool: Glimmering Flames (Esoteric Scrolls).
  • Scientific Ninja Tool: Water Release Bullet.

Substitution:

  • Space Time Hop (Sasuke Last Battle DLC).
  • Shadow Clone Explosion (Itachi reanimated DLC).
  • Shadow Clone Jutsu.

Secret Techniques:

  • Pure healing
    • Mitotic Regeneration (Sakura).
    • Slug: Long Distance Healing (Tsunade DLC).
  • Area control
    • Vapor Style: Solid Fog Jutsu (Mei DLC).
    • Insect Jamming Technique (Character Creation).
    • Izanami (Itachi reanimated DLC).
    • Feather Illusion (Kabuto).
  • Damage
    • Six Paths: Massive Rasen Shuriken (Naruto Last Battle DLC).
    • Uchiha Shuriken Jutsu: Spring Storm (Sarada).

Barrier Battles

What’s the goal?

The goal in Barrier Battle is to either defeat or protect the big Frog. Each time an attacker is killed, the attaacking side loses 5 seconds. When the attacking side defeats the boss the first time, they gain another „Round“ to do the same, but with longer ways. To attack the boss, you first have to activate to Stone-like-Buttons, which deactivate the bosses shield.

What‘s the Healers task?

Depending on the side your are on, you either have to defend your objecitves or keep your team alive. Either way you should be able to deal some damage to support your team when killing the boss.

Let’s talk loadouts

Since your task is mostly healing and Damaging, I recommend your damaging Healer build you are using for team Death Match. Your Combat Healer build is also aplicable. I do not like this game mode very much so I haven’t investet al lot of my time playing it. Thats also the reason I don’t have any specific Jutsu recommendations. I’m sure you will figure out a decent build for this.

Survival Exercise (aka Face-Off)

What’s the goal?

You compete in a 6 Players free for all Death Match. The One who reaches 700 points first will win.

What‘s the Healers task?

Your task ist he same as the other players/classes: Stay alive and make kills. Each kill will grant you 20-70 points, based on the Enemie. Bots will grant the lowest amount, 3rd, 2nd and 1st Player will give extra Points. Killing with your secret technique will grant aditional +25/enemy. Also for each minute alive you will gain another +10 points, accumulative. Meaning after the first minute +10, 2nd +20 and so on. Since you are a Healer, you have access to lot’s of healing abilities which you can benefit from for staying alive.
Another important point ist o stay away from people that will perma-stun and jump you to death.

Let’s talk loadouts

You want to survive and be able to kill people. Since you mostly be running away (Healers do not have that many damaging abilities), i recommend the following composition:

One (ranged) Jutsu for Damage, One Buffing/Healing Jutsu, depending on Jutsu 2 either Healing Seal 2 or Sealing Tag and one quick Charging Secret Technique that does Damage (Extra Points). While choosing each Jutsu, keep in mind the buffs certain Jutsu will give to you. More buffs = greater surivability.

Damage/Buff | Healing/Buff | Healing Seal 2/Sealing Tag | Sub | Quick Charging Secret Technique.

Regarding outfit skills, you also can experiment. Personaly, I would recommend the Custom Ninja Outfit: Healing-type (Embroidered Wind Chime). But since this is a Shop item not everybody (inlcuding myself sadly) does have access to it, orientate on your personal playstyle an what would support it.

Which Jutsu should you take?

In Face-Off, weh ave the traditional categories, but this time filld with different Jutsu:

Healing Jutsu:

  • Cellular Activation (Kabuto).
  • Cellular Extration (Sakura).

Support Jutsu:

  • Earth Style: Super Lightened Boulder Jutsu (Ohnoki DLC).
  • Byakugan (Hinata).

Damage Jutsu:

  • Yasaka Beads (Itachi reanimated DLC).
  • 8 Trigrams Air Palm (Hinata).
  • Truthseeker Orbs: Cycle (Naruto Last Battle DLC).
  • Nervous System Rupture (Tsunade DLC).
  • Heavy Boulder Jutsu (Character Creation).
  • Tsukuyomi (Itachi reanimated DLC).
  • Sage Art: Shadow Style: Thunder Blast (Madara Six Path DLC).

Ninja Tools:

  • Healing Seal 2.
  • Sealing Tag.
  • Everything else that you can integrate in your build.

Substitution:

  • Emergency Exit (Kawaki DLC).
  • Space Time Hop (Sasuke Last Battle DLC).
  • Shadow Clone Explosion (Itachi reanimated DLC).

Secret Techniques:

  • Uchiha Shuriken Jutsu: Spring Storm (Sarada).
  • Gentle Step Twin Lion Fists (Hinata).
  • Six Paths: Massive Rasen Shuriken (Naruto Last Battle DLC).
  • Shadow Pull Jutsu (Shikamaru).
  • Mind Transfer Clone Jutsu (Ino DLC).
