Predecessor – How to Make Wraith Work

Guide to Make Wraith Work

First of all you shouldn’t pick wraith in mid unless there’s a mage support like Argus or maybe fey. Missing magical power in a team can lead to a loss.

  • Too much magical power can also lead to a loss.
  • Were aiming for the perfect middle.

Second, the build you’re going should be matching the enemy heroes and that means: max hp for tanks, which works really good with wraiths 20% physical penetration on his E passive (maxed)

  • If enemies aren’t tanky, burst items are fine.
  • People usually go Ortus. There’s nothing wrong with that.

The build you see recently with malady and resolution is pointless for me. Malady is a good item, which gets online if you get kills. You have to build the item a soon as possible to get it stacked. Some people have it as third option of the main core items. You need to build it first if you want it to be good. And then still you have to stack it.

Resolution is getting Chosen because of soul chalice, which gives you extra mana. You don’t need it buddy, you just have understand when to use mana and when not.

Let me show you my build against a tanky team

Usually the build which works best for me with also big success is with Pacifier as my crest. Wraith lacks of mobility, and if you get one kill with crest, it usually ends up with 3.

  • Mindrazor
  • Vanquisher
  • Perforator
  • Infernum
  • Megacosm
  • Mutilator

Against an average less tanky team

  • Mindrazor
  • Vanquisher
  • Perforator
  • Infernum
  • Mezmer

5 depends what I need

The first one is my usual go:

  • Max hp is strong against tanks and the combo with the first three items(excluding vanquisher) just burns squishys down. Vanquisher just finishes them off.
  • If you want to make wraith work, one thing that you need to understand, is how to consistently apply damage from range against your opponent’s.
  • Wraith has not been designed for close combat, that’s why on hit carry builds are not working with him like they work with grim for example.
  • Learn to play with invis. The surprise effect can win you a lot of fights.
  • Keep in mind that your escape is a couple seconds off the radar.
  • Picking him in mid is gonna increase chances of getting camped.
  • As adc, your support has to have the ability to zone out. Dekker and Argus are great. He also works good with Zinx and Phase
  • You’re single targeted. That means no aoe for team fights.
  • You’re precision has to be on point. Miss one ability and you’re dead.
  • Practice is key so go out and have fun with Wraith.
