Guide to Revenant Build
First built item is soul chalice so that we can build on resolution later in the game, after that the order of built items goes.
Vanquisher for guaranteed kills considering Rev can’t chase for shit unless he has his ult.
Imperator as second T3 item to start hitting people hard and to proc Vanquisher more easily.
Basilisk as third T3 item. This starts the wombo combo on how one approaches a fight because Obliterate can erode targets with one click as each missile counts as a separate attack. With physical armor shredded so quickly, we can engage in fights with an immediate presence.
Demolisher as fourth T3 Item to increase for big increases in damage, making the Rev snowball harder.
Resolution for 5th T3 item. At this point, we should have already maxed our our final shot and should be doing minimum 15% total enemy health as damage with consistent crits.
It feels like getting the 6th T3 item is rare but at this point, fights are frequent and often send survivors back to base. Terminus is our last item to keep us in fights longer. This can easily be traded out with Equinox as it secures kills faster but doesn’t provide as much safety for the player.
As for gradual ability upgrades, I’ve always played Revenant knowing its the final shot that counts. Always upgrade Hellfire Rounds to max first after getting all other abilities. This finishes around level 9.
Next, max out Scar, followed by obliterate and obv leveling our ult whenever we can. I just got done practicing this but my max damage crit surpassed 1.5K damage. Gonna take it in to pubs but wanted other opinions.
UPD.
- Forgot to mention to take assassins crest for Ortus.
- Added Equinox as an option for final item.
Final thoughts
- I would not suggest keeping that ability upgrade order.
- Upgrading his reload isn’t as valuable early game because his crit chance is still quite low.
- Upgrading his obliterate (primary ability) first is always the better option because it does a lot of damage and is really good for wave clear and poke.
- Upgrade his reload second as your crit chance becomes higher, and then finally upgrade his scar, while Upgrading your ult wherever possible.
