Rust – Zipline & Rail Update Causes Blue Screen (BSOD) / Crashes

Possible Solutions

Fix #1: Update EAC

I’m pretty sure this happens when EAC is updated and the update doesn’t work.

How to Fix:

  1. Go to \Steam\steamapps\common\Rust\EasyAntiCheat
  2. Run EasyAntiCheat_Setup.exe ( run on admin).
  3. Select “Rust” and uninstall.
  4. Go to \Program Files (x86)\EasyAntiCheat and copy the 2 files (EasyAntiCheat.exe and EasyAntiCheat.sys).
  5. Paste the 2 files in \Steam\steamapps\common\Rust\EasyAntiCheat
  6. Run EasyAntiCheat.exe
  7. Select “Rust” and Install
  8. After all steps, run Rust.

Fix #2: Error 0xA: IRQL_Not_Less_or_Equal

This error means that something may be wrong with a device driver, your device’s memory, or antivirus software on your device. Here are some things to try…

How to Fix:

  • Make sure that your drivers are current by checking for the latest Windows updates. Select the Start button > Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update > Check for updates. Next, restart your device. Select Start > Power > Restart.
  • Verify that your device has the latest updates.
