Satisfactory – Excess (Extra) Fluid Fix

Excess (Extra) Fluid Fix using extra head before mixing back with source and never getting a backed up fluid system.

Excess (Extra) Fluid Fix _ Quick Version

When you have excess fluid, trying to mix it back with a source of the same fluid can sometimes cause the fluid to back up, build up, and stop production.

To solve this, you must give the excess (extra) fluid some extra head (pressure/power/height) before mixing it back with the source in order to ensure it’s always used first.

You must give it higher power than the source (so make sure the tower+pipe+pump are high enough), otherwise it may not be able to overcome the head (pressure/power/height) of the original source.

I have attached 4 pictures to detail the basic process with excess Sulfuric Acid and another with excess Water:

  • 2b Sulfuric Acid Excess Fluid in Blender Making Electromagnetic Control Rods _ Annotated

  • 4b Water Excess Fluid in Refinery Making Aluminum Scrap _ Pump View Vertical to Tower

This is not the only way to solve this problem, but I tried it based upon my Civil Engineering background. Most importantly, it seems to work forever with no further intervention.

I prefer these kinds of solutions, had a feeling that this may not be apparent to everyone, saw many complicated solutions online for this problem, and so decided to make a guide for it to post to a few places in case it helps people.
