Locating Moondew Nectar

Moondew Nectar is a special type of Food in Slime Rancher 2, and can only be eaten by the Flutter Slime. This Nectar can only be found in Starlight Strand.

When exploring vast reaches of Starlight Strand, you’ll notice Large Flowers on certain trees.

The image above showcases what Moondew Nectar looks like in the flower, and below, out the flower.

Harvesting this is simply like harvesting every other fruit & veggie, just vac it up if it’s in the flower!

Feeding the Flutters

Now that you’ve got yourself some Moondew Nectar, you may be asking yourself things like,

  • “Can I grow this on my ranch?” – At the moment, no you cannot.
  • “How long does this take to regrow in the flower?” – 1 In-game day, though they will eventually fall out of the flower and onto the ground if not harvested, just like regular fruits from trees.
  • “Can I find this anywhere else?” – There are several trees on Starlight Strand with Nectar.

Now that you have a Moondew, go shoot it at a hungry Flutter slime and watch the magic!

Happy flutter slimes have a confetti-like affect.

The Flutter slime will drop you 2 Flutter Plorts, and I personally recommend saving those for a special Largo Corral at your Conservatory. I combined mine with Pink slimes, that eat everything!

Other precious Flutter Combinations, would be:

Phosphor + Flutter | Bat + Flutter | Ringtail + Flutter: These would all be perfect Largos to ranch in The Den Section of your ranch!

  1. Honestly, no reason to deal with the nectar at all. I just sucked the butterflies up and fed them some other plorts back at the base. The Flutter slimes are pretty common so it’s easy to get a good number of them before they become largos.
