Tips to Defend Bases and Stations
There is a defence module you can build on stations & habs. Its a specific technology that you can see the tech tree from the research screen and use the search function to find that specific tech, then follow the lines back & mouse over them to figure out where a specific module comes from.
The first defense hab actually comes from Infrared Combat Lasers: the Point Defense Array.
The Tier 2 version is the Layered Defense Array, and only has the Point Defense Array as requirements.
