Players don’t get the canonical story during their first play session

When a player plays an episode for the first time, everyone in the game should hear the canonical story line–what they’re trying to accomplish and how they plan to accomplish it.

For reference, here are brief, relatively spoiler-free descriptions of the player’s missions in each episode.

Here’s what you’re doing in Ep1

The crew has left the safety of The Anacrusis to take a jump ship to the nearby massive star ship the Isolode. The mission once there? A quick trip to the bridge to download a data card of all known nearby ships so the search for survivors can begin.

Here’s what you’re doing in Ep2

The crew returns to the Isolode to investigate an alien anomaly on the central core that came up during a scan for survivors. Once found, secure the alien matter and make it back to the jump ship.

Here’s what you’re doing in Ep3

With the alien matter decoded, the crew realizes the aliens are plotting to attack earth. So they reboard the Isolode to send a warning message to earth in a Deep Space Crew Rescue Pod.

Client version does not match Server Version

A fix has been deployed and servers should be back online as the servers come back online.

Episode 1 Mall Elevator Pushes Players Out

In Level 3 of Episode 1, aka The Mall, the elevator at the end of the event on the 11th floor is confusing for some people. We’re making a change to improve it in the late January 2022 patch, but if you hit the switch next to the elevator before you jump into it, the elevator will push you out. If this happens, press the switch again and the elevator will flip to the same direction. The switch is inoperable if someone is in the elevator, so if it doesn’t work, clear the elevator and try again.

Episode 1 Finale – Marker for final objective doesn’t display when event completes

At the end of the Episode 1 finale, players need to grab a data card to complete the final event and win the episode. Unfortunately, there’s a bug in the shipping version of the game that prevents that item from being highlighted on screen when it emerges from the computer console.

The console where you activate the finale contains the data card. There is a progress bar on the wall above the console. Once it is filled, the data card will rise from the console and needs to be secured to complete the finale.

At the end of the event, you’ll here a computer noise and see this card appear.

AZERTY Keyboard Users Can’t Access Matter Compiler Choices and Other UI Elements

If you use an AZERTY keyboard and are unable to select items from a Matter Compiler using the keyboard, you can add correct bindings by editing your Input.ini File. First, close the game.

To edit Input.ini, open a File Explorer window and navigate to

  • %LOCALAPPDATA%\Anacrusis\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor\

Open the Input.ini file in a text editor, then replace the current [/Script/Engine.InputSettings] block with the following text.
