What Is the Glitch?

Due to this game originally having a 30 fps lock when you are running the game at a higher framerate, especially if you are using the +r_swapinterval 0 launch option to unlock the framerate, some things in the game don’t work properly as the game was coded to run specifically at a lower framerate. This chase sequence is one of the scenes effected as the higher framerate makes the monster move a little bit faster than it’s supposed to so you can’t get away from it (or at least that’s how it seems).

How Do You Fix It?

You can either go back and remove +r_swapinterval 0 from the launch options, or if already have +com_allowconsole 1 in the launch options you can simply use the in game console (press “insert” on your keyboard) and turn on god mode with the command “god” (press “insert” again to close the console) doing that will let you get through the chase sequence without needing to restart the game or change the launch options and shouldn’t have any effect on achievements either, just don’t forget to turn it back off after!
