DPS Basics
There are primarily two things you need to consider:
- Your base damage.
- Your damage multipliers.
Base damage
Put simple:
Atk from stats
- + Atk from weapon
- + Skill Constant
- – (Boss’s Def * 1-pierce)
- = Base damage
If this base damage is 0, your multipliers will be irrelevant.
Multipliers
Put simply:
Base damage
- x Stability (RNG)
- x Short Range Damage (if <7m from the target)
- x damage-to-element (if applicable)
- x Skill Multiplier
- x Unsheathe on certain skills
- x Standard Damage Multiplier
- x (1 – Boss’s Resistance)
Not all of these are worth dedicating a post to, so I’ll try to summarize each of them in these mini-guides:
- Atk from stats: This varies from class to class. I’ll post a graph for this one.
- Atk from weapon: Each weapon has a base W.Atk but can have significantly higher W.Atk if you’re lucky. You can also multiply your weapon’s W.Atk with Refinement.
- Skill constant: Varies from skill to skill, but usually never exceeds 1,000.
- DEF & Pierce: Each boss has their own def stat. This stat is 6x higher when fighting them on ulti difficulty. If you’ve ever done well on a hard boss and then done 1 damage on the ulti variant, this is why. And it’s also why people try to aim for 100% pierce if possible
- Stability multiplier: If your stability is 0, you’ll do between 0% and 100% damage (average: 50%). If your stability is 50, you’ll do between 50% and 100% damage (average: 75). Stability is determined by your weapon. It’s the (num%) next to your weapon’s attack value
- Short Range Damage multiplier: Self-explanatory.
- Skill multiplier: Varies from skill to skill.
- Damage-to-element: Multiplies your damage against a single element. Usually fairly expensive. Ergo, a damage-to-dark weapon is only viable against dark bosses.
- Element: If the element of your attack is Super Effective against the boss’s element, you’ll gain +25% damage to element.
- Light and dark are strong against each other.
- Using an element that is weak to the boss will always decrease your damage ofc.
- Unsheather multiplier: It probably deserves its own guide but I’m not qualified to write it.
- Standard damage multiplier: Brave Aura grants +20% damage. Asura Aura grants +30% damage. Enhance grants +10% damage. If you have all of these, you’ll have +60% damage, because they all fall under the category of Standard damage multiplier. Same with Aura Blade from the Blade tree.
There’s also “Graze” but that deserves its own guide tbh. There’s also not a whole lot you can do about it
Stargems
How to Enchance Stargems
- Need 2 or More “Same” Stargems.
Example: [Holy Fist Lv 1 + Holy Fist Lv 1 = Holy Fist Lv 2]
- Non-Equip Stargems For Material Enhance
Note: any 2nd pick Stargems must not on equip state or you will not found them when you wanted Enhance
- Level Stargems Lv 1 s/d Lv 10.
- Cannot Enhance Stargems Lv sum above 10.
Example: [Holy First lv 5 + Holy Fist Lv 6 = Error/Not Enhance]
Example: [Holy First lv 3 + Holy Fist Lv 6 = Holy Fist Lv 9]
- Level 10 Stargems Can Upgraded / Promoted Base Skill Tree
Example: [Bulleyes Lv 10 Upgrade Into Rain Arrow Lv 1 / Spine Lv 1]
