Here you can find few tips to start to mine iron in the V Rising game.

Guide to Unlock Harvest Ore

You need to unlock a crafting recipe for a merciless copper mace. You have a random chance to find this item in a chest.

If you cant find the recipe drop you can also spend 50 paper to research a random item from the research table.

Note

It doesn’t have to be specifically the mace.

Any of your tools/weapons can be upgraded to Merciless and it will harvest the iron, albeit slower than the mace.

Unfortunately, getting the iron is just one part, as you have to beat a boss to unlock the recipe to smelt it.
