Valheim – Cheesing Mistlands as a Solo

Ok here are a few things.

Tips to Beat Mistlands in Solo

All credit goes to Knightframe!

One stupid thing youtubers recommend is to go there in Fenris armor set…. Do not do that!

If you have less than 80 armor its gona hurt a lot if you get stuck somewhere. (unless you run in a new mage armor as magic hurts those mobs a lot)

For scouting mistlands you can hunt rabbits and seekers (with a bow if possible and sneaking) and cook their meat early game, before you set up a farm in mistlands (its pain).

2x HP 1X STA food should be a minimum and be sure you have spare food (and spare armor set like wolf armor).

Having fire resistance potion on you + yagg buff is a good idea for flying mobs. (and a stack of arrows)

Forget abauth blocking a lot of bugs here, as they usualy work in swarms so AOE and 2h weapons are better due to longer range (frost damage is pretty effective tho).

I would also recommend you carry portal mats + workbench mats so you can run in some situations when death is certain (or for placing them outside dungeons).

Blackmetal atgeir is a must have weapon on you for ticks to remove them fast as dodge sometimes doesnt work (also 2 star ticks realy realy hurt and stagger you to death, so you dont even have time to roll).

Blackmetal axe is also needed so you can even hurt the trees there.

There is also no need to attack friendly dwarfs, but there are 2 tricks to get rid of them so you can get the extractor item:

  • Simply bait the bugs from another area into dwarf camp/building/hole and slowly kill them off.
  • Mine in area to call in the flying mob and once it comes, simply run into dwarfs.

When you find a dungeon be sure you place a portal outside (and place at least some wood araund them as bare minimum) as its very easy to die if you are unlucky and find 1-2 star mobs inside those.

When you enter a dungeon, do not open every door you see instantly, but clear one coridor at the time as mobs can hear from far and run into you and well you end up swarmed.

If you have a hard time recovering your body inside, take your backup armor, but its possible to sneak and recover usualy.

Usualy if you see a 1 star seeker in dungeon behind a whines i recomend you leave it alone and get a balista inside the dungeon (once you unlock it).

As for mining areas araund the soft tissue. As soon as you hit something hard, mobs will hear you, but if you dig down and make a small ditch araund you (with raised ground), you should be safe from most of monsters. Add a few wooden floors so you can get on as fast as possible and then finish the swarm with a bow (this will not work on flying ones tho).

If you see rusted swords and armor, i would generaly say, leave them and just farm copper in black forest. Object that have iron however i would recomend destroying (big ones).

But generaly, dont run in mistlands as it drains stamina and you dont see anything. Sneak if you hear monsters and you should avoid most of them.

The most priority item you need to make 1.st is a slowfall cape.
