Zardy’s Maze – Ultimate Enemy Guide

This is a tutorial for the enemies in zardy’s maze. I will describe the characters to the best of my abilities.

Guide to Enemies

Zardy

Functionalities

Zardy will wander the maze, but will know where you are at all times if you enter the maze. when defeated he will teleport somewhere near the player.

Counters

When you use the light on zardy he will begin to fade away, make him fade away all the way he will be gone for a bit.

Enemy combos

1. Drought

When zardy has you pinned in between him and drought with no battery you will end up getting teleported into zardy.

2. Cornstalkers

If zardy chases you into a cornstalker (somehow) then it may take too much time to hit the cornstalker enough or to charge your flashlight.

Pumpkin Crawlers

Functionalities

When they spawn in they will have a vine sent out to grab onto the player, when they latch on then they will slow down the player and make you not able to run.

Weaknesses

Hit him with an axe or jump over the vines.

Enemy combos

1. Pumpkin jack

Pumpkin crawlers will send out a shriek for the pumpkin jacks.

2. Rattlers

Pumpkin crawlers can slow down the player then the rattles can send out their attack to kill you.

Rattler

Functionalities

Rattlers will walk up to you and will send out their arm to attempt to grab you, if they do then they kill you. Rattlers typicaly stick around weeds.

Weaknesses

Flashlight can stun rattlers

Enemy combos

1. Zardy

If you enter a situation where you are in between zardy and a rattler then you would need to stun them both making it near impossible to get out of that situation.

2. Pumpkin crawler

If the pumpkin crawler gets you at an inconvenient time with the rattler you could end up dying from the rattler.

Pumpkin Jacks

Functionalities

The pumpkin jacks roam the field, they will keep wandering until they notice the player, or a pumpkin crawler is destroyed, if a pumpkin crawler gets destroyed then they will jump to the area where it died.

How to counter pumpkin jacks

You can stun them with the flashlight, however you will need to hide in the corn if you wish to survive them.

Combo enemies

1. Pumpkin crawlers

The pumpkin crawlers can call over pumpkin jacks when they die.

2. Zardy

Zardy cannot enter the corn, however they still try to follow the player, so the pumpkin jacks will end up blocking the way past zardy, and could kill you if you do not escape in time.

Cable Crow

Functionalities

The cable crow will go from tower to tower, targeting the player.

Counters

Flashlight is able to stun the cable crow.

Enemy combos

Brutes

Functionalities

Brutes circle the weeds, and will know where you are if you hit it. They will stop chasing you if you get far enough away from the weeds.

Counters

Enemy combos

1. Rattlers

Rattlers and brutes protect the weeds, so rattlers could make the player focused on dodging the rattlers too much and have a brute notice the player.

Drought

Functionalities

Drought will roam around the field and never targets anything, its incapable of killing the player and will send the player back a few steps and will disappear.

Weaknesses

None

Enemy combos

1. Zardy

When zardy is approaching from 1 side of a passage and drought from the other, if you run into drought then you get teleported into zardy.

2. Pumpkin Jack

Similar to zardy combo but with a pumpkin jack.

Cornstalkers

Functionalities

The cornstalkers can appear behind you, and can stop you from moving back, but allow enemies to walk through the cornstalkers.

Counters

Hit them with an axe.

Enemy combos

1. Pumpkin jack

You could get pinned in between a pumpkin jack and a cornstalker and due to the speed of pumpkin jacks, however you could just use the flashlight on the pumpkin jack then hide in the regular corn.
