Hero Siege - Season 12 Update and Patch Notes

General



Season Rewards we will be fixing the issue with a patch.

  • Shields are now shown in your healthbar
  • Enemies & Bosses now have unique cooldowns for each ability and the system is more dynamic
  • Added new dungeons
  • Projectiles now move relative to player speed (more dynamic + won't outrun your projectiles)
  • Movement skills now check if you have flying and will pass terrain that requires flying
  • Added tooltip to relics
  • Removed projectile blocking capabilities from Paladin's Blessed shields and Demonspawn's Bonestorm. These along with high damage reduction or avoidances would make you nearly unkillable
  • You can now see your party members location on your screen easily
  • You can now set a confirmation option for picking up Relics. This can be toggled on or off based on preference
  • Removed D tier satanics from Black Market and satanic crafting
  • We have overhauled the Dodge & Block system. This new system will allow you to be able to dodge and block when you are at 0 stacks but it reduces your maximum cap. Melee characters using a shield will have a maximum of 75% block/dodge with no charges up. Ranged characters using a shield will have a maximum of 35% block/dodge with no charges up. Without a shield, melee characters remain at the 75% dodge/block and ranged characters will remain at 25% dodge/block without charges. This allows you to maintain some avoidance even when your charges reach 0
  • Dodge & Block stacks are now hidden if 0
  • All stats armor portion should now show in the item tooltip properly
  • Added the new item scrap system for Steam crate, this allows you to scrap unwanted steam cosmetics into scraps, 10 scraps will provide you with another key
  • Text is displayed whether your character can or cannot equip the Steam Crate cosmetic.
  • Cooldown reduction overhaul: Cooldown of some skills got changed so that each hard point you invest them will reduce the cooldown of the spell. It first reduces the flat amount and after that it takes the % Cooldown reduction. Idea behind this is to reduce one pointers being too effective and we don't want to enforce players to get 50% CDR to gain 100% uptime on some skills, IE: Whirlwind
  • Changed how Mining functions, now it takes 1 successful attempt to break the entire node
  • Improved refresh rate options
  • Added price to merchant confirmation prompt
  • Added the single-hit system. This will properly calculate damage when one projectile hits multiple enemies
  • Synced shield cosmetics in online so others will be able to see it now
  • Added cosmetics and skins to Wormhole prompt
  • Changed how our DOT system works. Now each player can individually apply their own dots/debuffs without conflicting with others
  • Increased exp from quests
  • Added minimap zoom with mouse wheel
  • Added minimap moving with pressing and dragging minimap with mouse wheel
  • Change whisper color for clarity
  • Added localization changes to skills and items (Trying to make skill tooltips less vague)
  • Added relic description to crafting menu
  • Ton of changes on visual affects so they do not cover so much of the screen
  • Adjusted mlvl of some dungeons & zones
  • Added unique enemy pool to every key dungeon
  • Added "Phasing" to the game, which allows players to walk through monsters. (Will be added to some items/relics maybe in future but for now it's used in some skills like whirlwind)
  • Lowered the damage of arcane beams
  • Reduced life leech effect from spells IE. Whirlwind

Weapon Abilities



  • Arcane Fury damage has been reduced
  • Arcane Fury can now only roll on caster weapons
  • Arcane Fury desync fixed
  • Increased proc rate of Wind Fury from 10% to 20%

Relics



  • Reduced Storm Dagger proc rate from 36% to 22%, this did way too much damage
  • Changed Token of Luck's magic find bonus from 50% to 200%
  • Increased Bonsai Tree to 3% all stats from 1%

Items



  • Reworked every item in the game, from stats to item tiers. All changes can be seen under the S12 Item Change List sheet at bottom of the page
  • Changed Angelic droprate from 1:2.5m to 1:750k
  • Many runewords are changing from a randomly selected element to purely elemental damage
  • Changed Satan's Set to now properly give 25% armor break per application
  • Changed most boss items into elemental damage & maxed sockets on the SS tier satanics we missed
  • Introducing 16 new sets and 1 revamped set of class set items into the game for secondary class trees
  • Increased the damage of some Angelics
  • Reduced the cooldown of Revelation to 6 seconds
  • Increased the damage of Revelation active
  • Reduced the critical rate and damage of some items
  • Re-balanced all shields due to dodge/block revamp
  • Mevius Chaos Meteor is now based off your classes elemental damage + weapon damage
  • Reduced the damage from Steve's set by a bit, these provided too much damage
  • Added 3 new runeword weapons. Arcanum, Carnage and Virulence (Arcanum won't be craftable on the launch! needs tweaking)
  • Nerfed the effect from Damien's set by a bit, the damage scaling was a little too high
  • Changed the stat addition to Gem King's Garb for perfect topaz, they will now give armor instead of magic find and lightning resistance
  • Increased magic find on all magic find items substantially
  • Fixed the Pirate Captain's set from also giving 100% additional damage and increased Bomb Barrel size. This was the old set bonus and it just never got deleted
  • Added the Cloud Key, this will take you to Sheeponia when used at the demon statue near the gravestones in town
  • Sight of the gods now grants bit bigger AOE vision
  • Amazon's set bonus now grants 50% additional poison damage instead of 25%
  • Added keybindings for show loot (alt) and new playerlist (§)
  • Changed required level for C tier satanics to level 68 and B tier satanics to level 88
  • Increased the hp summons get from Death Lord's Set from 100% to 250%
  • Pyromancer's Firefly set now gives addition damage to fireflies while using it
  • Drastically increased Rune droprates

Enemies



  • Added aggro detection to enemies, this means when you attack an enemy from far away, they will begin to pursue you
  • Added damage meter (so no more dummy tests needed)
  • Added boss ability timer
  • Reduced Uber Reaper's damage by 15%
  • Changed the cast times on Uber Reaper's abilities
  • Changed all Uber rooms to monster level 666
  • Monster damage is no longer capped at 1k monster level, it is now capped at 2k monster level
  • Reduced the mask size of Death Coil a little bit, these were extremely hard to dodge and sometimes would clip you even if you were out of the way
  • Act bosses are partially re-made to be more challenging and some gimmicks have been changed

Zones & Instances

  • Unstable rift has had a rework, it now teleports you to one of the following random locations:
  • Original Unstable Rift, the monster spawn rate and monster quantity has drastically increased
  • Random Rare or semi-rare Chaos Tower floor, this will not affect your Chaos Tower progression in any way
  • Random Key Dungeon Inferno only
  • Shadow Realm Inferno Only
  • Rift of Fortune Inferno Only

(Void)

  • Increased token drops from Unstable Rifts
  • Sheeponia has been entirely remade to be more thematic and linear and can now be entered with a Cloud Key, which can drop anywhere. Use this key to the hydra statue in Town to unlock Sheeponia
  • Added keybindings for show loot (alt) and new playerlist (§ or ~)
  • Some of the more rare Chaos Tower floors now come with a static Chaos Shrine spawn
  • We have placed large air pockets at the entrance and exits of underwater zones so there is no silly d/c deaths
  • Key Dungeon end chests are now more rewarding
  • Uber chest is now more rewarding
  • Uber Inoya now can drop all Boss set and Steve set items
  • Uber Inoya has been recreated and has monster level 666
  • Reaper's Breach is now monster level 666
  • Key Dungeons on Inferno are now monster level 500
  • All overworld zones can now spawn with multiple special tiles. For example, you can get a Chaos Shrine, Chaos Tower and Shadow Rift in one zone
  • We have made various quality of life changes to Boss dungeons for gameplay and visual look.
  • Added 5 new Key Dungeons to the overworld: Ancient City, Sand Cave, Cauflax Tomb, Devils' Hole and Fuji Crater
  • We also updated the amount of enemies and the enemy pools of the Key Dungeons

Wormholes

  • Removed Parasect and Annie as bosses
  • Added Kalcifer and Kayako as bosses
  • Changed monster level progression from +8 to +25 per successful Wormhole
  • Completely revamped Wormhole maps. They are now all handcrafted maps rather than auto generated. This allows us to have better boss arenas and less obstructions. There are 10 new maps with different themes.
  • Removed nests and dens from WH

Fixes



  • Fixed issues with "Enemies left" counter
  • Fixed C and B tier drops not dropping on Inferno
  • Fixed Elemental Break having a 100% proc rate, now it is 25% like the other breaks
  • Fixed Necromancer Death Lord skin causing lag when using poison nova
  • Fixed Marauder Unstable Bomb causing major lag
  • Fixed projectiles relative movement to players so it doesn't behave in a strange way
  • Fixed Mercenary issue where you could snapshot stats and then change gear
  • Fixed multiple relic issues with blacksmith crafting
  • Fixed Marauder's Unstable Bomb's from padding
  • Fixed a crash when inspecting players
  • Fixed nomads Vanish causing screen to stay blurred
  • Fixed many outdated/incorrect tooltips
  • Fixed vague tooltips to make sense
  • Fixed Marketplace's mailbox animation from not working
  • Made some improvements to the minimap
  • Fixed Spell weapons gravity. This means your projectiles will travel further
  • Fix Flask & Projectile fps dependency
  • Fix stash dlc button being always active
  • Fix mouse move not working while tab menu is active
  • Fix relic crafting producing wrong results
  • Ton of crash fixes
  • Fixed a lot of sound clutter (We will filter more of them in future if some sounds get too spammy)

Auction House & Trade



  • Added search function for runewords
  • Fixed issue on PC and Mobile interaction with the auction house tax
  • Added a pending request ingame popup on trade
  • Added extra layers of security

Classes



Most of classes has gone through quite a bit of changes since we introduced the new "Single hit" system which fixed a major bug that caused players to deal absurd amounts of damage. We also revamped attackspeed / animation cooldown.

Demon Slayer

  • Increased damage of Bullet Hell
  • Fixed cast delay on lower hz settings
  • Heavily increased the damage of Slicer of Shadows
  • Increased proc rate of Slice of Shadows
  • Fixed all cooldowns to be able to get full uptime with 50% cdr now that we have changed the set
  • Changed Vitals to have 4 cardinal directions rather than 8. Should give you more up time on Vitals damage
  • Slice of shadows now scales with oversized

Paladin

  • Reduced Steel Shields damage
  • Reduced Steel Shields proc chance by a small amount
  • Increased Lightning Fury damage slightly
  • Reduced Hammer damage slightly
  • Reduced Steel Shield proc rate slightly
  • Buffed Infusion of Righteousness slightly
  • Increased scaling on Thunder Hammers
  • Swapped Thunder Hammers and False Salvation on the tree
  • Increased Holy Hammer damage

Marksman

  • Reduced damage on Multishot Turrets
  • Explosive's Technician has received a small damage increase to the flat damage, this will help during leveling
  • Added damage scaling to Agility. This stopped working for some reason.
  • Increased Agilitie's scaling
  • Increased Master Mechanic scaling
  • Decreased the damage of Gunner Drones slightly
  • MM set now gives piercing instead of homing

White Mage

  • Heavily buffed Curse
  • Heavily buffed Fanaticism Aura
  • Increased Curse proc rate
  • Increased Chain Lightning damage
  • Increased Malediction scaling
  • Reduced damage of Restless Spirits
  • Increased Mana Orbs damage
  • Increased tick rate on Mana Orbs
  • Reduced scaling on Soul Spurn
  • Reduced scaling on Absorb Shield
  • Reduced scaling on Healing Zone
  • Absorb Shield is now connected to the tree
  • Increased Heavenly Fire damage
  • Increased Burst of Light damage
  • Increased Benediction scaling

Shield Lancer

  • Heavily increased the rate of how much damage damage return inflicts for Lancer
  • Buffed Flank
  • Buffed Defenseless
  • Buffed Crushing Lance
  • Buffed Flank proc rate
  • Added 10% damage reduction to Steel shields
  • Increased the additional return damage proc rate so this is a very good damage return skill now
  • Buffed Glory scaling
  • Increased the time between additional damage reduction procs to once every second
  • Added 10% damage reduction with Shield Wall up
  • Using Thrust on a thrown lance will pull you to the lance
  • Reduced scaling of Thor's Fury

Amazon

  • Increased Master Poisoner damage
  • Increased damage of Poison Knives
  • Increased damage of Death from Above
  • Increased damage of Leap
  • Increased damage of Caustic Spearhead
  • Increased damage from Toxic Remains
  • Heavily increased Lightning Dash damage
  • Increased Envenom's scaling
  • Increased Envenom's cooldown to naturally allow stacks to drop while maxed out. This will not cause your stacks to be reduced, it will only be overlapped with a new instance of poison damage. This is to prevent infinite Envenom scaling
  • Reduced Lightning Dash cooldown to 2.5 seconds from 3 seconds
  • Increased Tropical Thunder's damage
  • Increased Spearnage damage

Viking

  • Increased the proc rate of Stoneskin from 20% to 38%
  • Increased the damage scaling of Whirlwind
  • Increased Shield Bash damage
  • Shield Bash can now leech
  • Increased the speed of Whirlwind's tickrate from .35 to .30
  • Increased damage of Seismic Slam
  • Increased damage of Throw!
  • Increased scaling of Weapon Master
  • Increased damage from Shockwave

Pyromancer

  • Increased Pyrokinetic Disorder's damage
  • Increased the tick rate of Pyrokinetic Disorder from 1 tick per second to 3 ticks per second
  • Increased Comet damage a bit
  • Increased Meteor damage a bit
  • Increased scaling of Calamity a bit
  • Fixed Pandemonium of Flames not applying properly
  • Fixed Second-Degree Burns not applying properly
  • Increased Flame Shields scaling
  • Flame Shield now gives 10% damage reduction while active
  • Increased proc rate of Burning
  • Increased damage of Blazing Trail
  • Increased the scaling of Splitfire
  • Increased the damage of Armageddon
  • Increased damage of Fireswarm
  • Increased damage of Fire Nova

Redneck

  • Increased damage of Stomp

  • Poison Barb now deals damage (somehow this skill hasn't been doing damage since s10)
  • Increased damage from Lingering Toxins
  • Poison Burst now shoots farther

Demonspawn

  • Increased the damage from Blood Surge
  • Increased Blood Tendril scaling
  • Increased Demonic Presence scaling
  • Increased Blood Demons damage
  • Increased Bone Fragments damage
  • Increased Impale damage
  • Increased damage of Bone Storm
  • Increased Cartilage Build Up damage

  • Changed Totemic Awakening skill. This will no longer provide a buff for the player and totems. It will now summon a very large totem that deals heavy damage.
