Konami produced and published Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow, an action-adventure game released in 2005. It is the first Castlevania game on the Nintendo DS and is part of Konami’s Castlevania video game franchise. The game is a sequel to Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow, and it features many of the same concepts. The film Dawn of Sorrow was a commercial success. In Japan, it sold over 15,000 units in its first week, while in the United States, it sold 164,000 units in the three months following its first release.
