A tactical role-playing game called Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift was created and released by Square Enix for the Nintendo DS portable gaming system. The game, a follow-up to Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, was released in 2007 in Japan and in 2008 in the West. It is a member of the Ivalice Alliance, a collection of video games based in the fictitious world of the same name. Characters from Final Fantasy XII, a game set in Ivalice, make brief cameo cameos in this one.
