Solutions for Error Loading Save

There’s a common saving issue that happens with Steam Cloud. It can occur on any computer.

Fix #1: Using Internet Connection

• Start the game with internet on
• When you see the loading screen, turn off your internet by:
  • For wireless: Press Alt + Tab, find your WiFi in the taskbar and disconnect
  • For wired connection: Search “Ethernet” in taskbar, go to settings and turn it off
  • Or just unplug your internet cable
• Load your save file
• Turn internet back on

Fix #2: Disable Steam Cloud

1. Open your Steam library
2. Right-click the game
3. Click Properties
4. Find “Steam Cloud synchronization”
5. Uncheck the box
6. Click OK and restart Steam

Both methods should fix your save problems. Pick whichever seems easier to you.
