A Perfect Day – All Endings / True Ending Guide

This is a time-loop game where the entire story happens in a day, from 8:00 to 22:00. You keep looping to create A Perfect Day.

• At the end of the day, you can choose items to store so you have them in your Bag at the beginning of your next loop. At first you can only retain 15 items, but as you keep playing, you can increase the storage limit to 55.
• It’s recommended to store Key Items like those that give Courage++ / Rebellion++ / ability to rewind or skip time, and toss away items that are easily obtainable like Cards and cheap foods; or items that have no usage (anymore) like books, notes, weak 4WD parts, etc
• I’m not sure what exactly triggers it, but at the end of the loop, Fat Guy will give Rubik Cubes (up to 4 times) that will increase your storage by +4, +4, +5 and +6
• There are 2 Aluminium items that give you +5 and +6, if you lose it, always try to reclaim it in the next loop and keep it in your bag. You want to have these 2 items with you all the time. Modern Aluminium Pot is also useful as a stool to reach higher places.
• You may want to do a “Preparation/Filler Loop” where you solely focus the day on obtaining required key items or buying stuff to retain for the next loop where you want to aim for actual story routes. This is made easy by Greenfire Yoyo (read below)
• You can Rewind time, if you made a mistake, using Plastic Motor or Kang Motor, these are inexhaustible items. Other inex. Items are Greenfire Yoyo to skip time and Lil Xeno Noodle Snacks to skip meals. You do this at the Card Selection at the end of an activity
• You can have “infinite” money once you obtain “Dad’s Keys”, as in you can do a “Filler Loop”, get $50 from your home by choosing to “Go Home” in the morning at 8:00, use “Dad’s Keys” to obtain 3 $10 bills in your parents’ room, “Have Lunch at Home” to obtain 2 $20 bills, then go to Yiya Corner Store to buy whatever you want, especially useful stuff like Godzilla and Ultraman (Rebellion++) or stock up Food items. There are 3 routes where you absolutely need $50, so you’ll be doing this 2-3 times anyway.
• You can use “Walk Around” card and “Look Around” at every corner to get all the action Cards. Very convenient if you need a specific cards, but forgot/unable to store them at the end of the day

Route Progression

This game may seem very open, where you can go to bunch of branching routes and got multiple key items ahead of time, but actually, every single route has very strict requirement to complete. For example, to beat Ke Yun’s route, you need MAX Courage and Rebellion, which you can only get them from beating some of other routes. And so on.

But I suggest playing through 5-6 Loops blind and try to explore as much as possible to get the gist of how this game works and naturally obtain whatever key items / cards you can accidentally get since every route needs a 1-2 key items from other routes to beat, anyway.

Here’s the order in which you have to beat the routes:

1. Yang Fan
2. Song Jian (Needs a Key Item from the end of Yang Fan or Guo Yi route)
3. Guo Yi (Needs a Key Item from the end of Song Jian route)
4. Father or Uncle, in whichever order you like (Needs $50, which needs Courage++ from other routes)
5. Ke Yun (Needs maxed Courage & Rebellion)
6. Old Ge / Ending (Needs Key Items from Song Jian and Father/Uncle routes)
7. Secret / True Ending (Needs a Key Item from Old Ge route)

You can actually do Old Ge’s route before Ke Yun and one of Father/Uncle route, but Old Ge’s route is a Game Ending route, so it’s recommended to do his last.

It took me 27 Loops (17 hours) the get all Endings, though I wasted a lot of them trying to figure out where to go / what to get, so you should be able to complete the game way quicker than me with this guide.

After getting the True Ending, you can keep Looping and finish all the Other Wishes (I didn’t do this)

Item Names may slightly differ since I wrote this walkthrough after bunch of items are already gone from my Bag and I forgot their names

Yang Fan Route

Required Key Item that you need to have beforehand (from previous Loop):

Luo Ruimin’s OICU ID: 396004, you get it from playing 4WD at 16.00 with Yan Fang and Song Jian

Walkthrough:

• 8:00 = “Go to Arcade” with Yang Fan, ended up at his house
• 9:00 = Register OICU, Add Luo Ruimin’s OICU ID and Chat with him (Promise to Chat with him in the Afternoon)
• 10:00 – 12:00 = “Go to Arcade”
• 12:00 – 14:00 = Do whatever
• 14:00 – 16:00 = “Go to Arcade”, Pay for Yang Fan, Go to Computer Room to chat with Luo Ruimin. Do it quick since time still passes while you do nothing. You can chat with other people too
• 16:00 – 22:00 = Do whatever, Yang Fan will give you KEC Fried Chicken at Dawning Park

Song Jian Route

Required Key Items:

• 4WD = From the cabinet left of your room
• KEC Fried Chicken or Fish = Beat Yang Fan or Guo Yi route
• Bun/Snacks/Whatever Food = to feed the Dog at Deserted Temple

Walkthrough:

• 8:00 – 10:00 = “Go to Deserted Temple” with Guo Yi, feed the Dog, explore the Temple, continue to explore the Temple at 9:00
• 10:00 – 12:00 = Do whatever
• 12:00 – 14:00 = “Eat at Home”, try to choose dialogue options that increase Rebellion, Ask about News with Dad to obtain “Go to Aluminium Factory” Card
• 14:00 – 16:00 = “Go to Aluminium Factory”, Enter the Factory, Get Aluminium Pot (requires Rebellion Pts), Exit Factory to encounter Old Ge, Give him Aluminium Pot to get W-Badge (Max Courage +1)
• 16:00 – 18:00 = “Go to Arcade”, Block the Gang’s attack (requires 2 Courage Pts), play 4WD with Yang Fan and Song Jian, get “Eat at Song Jian’s Home” Card
• 18:00 – 20:00 = “Go to Song Jian’s house for Dinner”, Examine the bag, DON’T take the GJC, Give KEC Fried Chicken or Fish to Song Jian’s Mom. Song Kang will give you Kang Motor (Max Courage +1)
• 20:00 – 22:00 = “Go to Dawning Park”, Song Jian will give you the GJC

Guo Yi Route

Required Key Items:

• GJC = Beat Song Jian’s route
• Urban Lament (Magazine) = Living room, keep examining the left bookcase

Walkthrough:

• 8:00 – 10:00 = “Go to Deserted Temple” with Guo Yi, feed the Dog, explore the Temple, Put the GJC in the Box, Guo Yi will find it and be in a good mood, leave with Guo Yi
• 10:00 – 12:00 = “Go to Arcade” to play Playstation with Guo Yi, he’ll invite you for lunch
• 12:00 – 14:00 = “Go to Guo Yi’s house for lunch”, Answer question with Urban Lament
• 14:00 – 22:00 = Do whatever, Guo Yi will give you Fish that can be used at Song Jian’s route for dinner

Father Route

Required Key Items:

• Dad’s Keys = Go Home at 10:00 and Hide when a Thief comes, check the right table in the living room to get the Keys; used to enter Parent’s room and open the right cabinet’s in the living room
• Aluminium Pot = To reach the Wedding Photo in Parent’s room
• $10 x 3 = Parent’s room’s Wedding Photo
• $10 = in your room during Lunch Time, under Chair
• $10 (the 2nd one) = in your room during Lunch Time, under Bed
• Need to know Lottery Winning Number (eavesdrop parents before Dinner)

Walkthrough:

• 8:00 – 10:00 = “Go Home”, Put 5 x $10 in the left bookcase in the living room
• 10:00 – 12:00 = “Walk Around”, reach People’s Bank to meet Shady Guy, Guess the Lottery Winning Number (3, 5, 7, 8, 13, 25; Lucky Number = 18)
• 12:00 – 16:00 = Do whatever
• 16:00 – 18:00 = “Go to Eden”
• 18:00 – 20:00 = “Go home for dinner”
• 20:00 – 22:00 = “Go to Dawning Park”, talk to Mr.Bai, He’ll give you Envelope (Max Courage +1)

Uncle Route

Required Key Items:

• $10 x 5 = Read Father Route section on how to get them
• Document Envelope = NOT the Envelope from Mr.Bai, but Envelope from the middle table in the Living Room in the Afternoon

Get rid of/do not store “dad’s keys” at the end of previous loop (Prep. Loop). You need the Thief to steal that from your home to progress the story (he can’t steal them if you have the keys).

Walkthrough:

• 8:00 – 10:00 = “Go Home”, Put 5 x $10 in the left bookcase in the living room, must not have dad’s keys
• 10:00 – 14:00 = Do whatever
• 14:00 – 16:00 = “Go to Aluminium Factory”, Enter Factory, Examine whatever, Exit Factory, Encounter Uncle, Give him Document Envelope
• 16:00 – 18:00 = “Go to Eden”
• 18:00 – 20:00 = Do whatever
• 20:00 – 22:00 = “Go to Dawning Park”, Mr.Bai will give you Envelope if you did this route before Father’s, Talk to Uncle to get REVO Motor (useless, story-wise, but now you’ve completed Uncle Route)

Ke Yun Route

Required Key Items:

• MAX Courage (4) = From previous routes
• MAX Rebellion (5) = From previous routes and/or Buy Rebel++ items from Yiya Corner Store
• $10 x 5 = Read Father Route section on how to get them
• Christmas Card = Desk. Must be retained from the loop before
• “We Can Say No” Book = Buy from Afterflow Bookstore in the morning, most left Book

Walkthrough:

• 8:00 – 10:00 = “Catch Up with Ke Yun”
• 10:00 – 12:00 = “Go to Bookstore”, give the old guy “We Can Say No” Book (might be possible with other books too), talk to Ke Yun
• 12:00 – 14:00 = “Go to KEC” (needs $20)
• 14:00 – 15:00 = DO A RANDOM 1 HOUR EVENT CARD + “Go to School” Card
• 15:00 – 16:00 = At School, go to the Office, keep eavesdropping Ke Yun’s conversation with the Black Car
• 16:00 – 18:00 = “Go to Children’s Palace”, Go to Roller Rink, Be brave towards the Bald Guy, Skate with Ke Yun
• 18:00 – 20:00 = “Go to KEC” (needs $20), Talk with Ke Yun
• 20:00 – 22:00 =”Go to Dawning Park”, Give Christmas Card to Ke Yun, modify it so it sounds appropriate overall and to today’s event (21st Century, Roller Skate, Beautiful, Sliding, Study Hard, Municipal No.1, Chen Liang; not sure about the rest)

Old Ge Route

Required Key Items:

• W-Badge = Give Old Ge Aluminium Pot at Aluminium Factory (not sure if can do it in the morning too at Deserted Temple)
• Kang Motor = Beat Song Jian route
• Envelope = Beat Father or Uncle route
• Aluminium Pot = at Aluminium Factory

No item will be lost or retained. After clearing this route, your items in the next loop will be the same as the items you have at the beginning of this loop.

Walkthrough:

• 8:00 – 10:00 = “Go to Deserted Temple” with Guo Yi, keep exploring to encounter Old Ge, give him Aluminium Pot
• 10:00 – 12:00 = “Go to Yiya Corner Store”, Buy something, Try to leave to encounter Old Ge, he’ll warn you if you still have incomplete routes and ask if you still want to continue going through this route
• 12:00 – 14:00 = Do whatever
• 14:00 – 16:00 = “Go to Aluminium Factory”, Enter Factory, Examine whatever, Leave Factory to encounter Old Ge, Give him Envelope
• 16:00 – 18:00 = “Go to Deserted Temple”, Go Inside the UFO, SCROLL LEFT to find Old Ge sleeping, Wake him up, Present W-Badge to him
• 18:00 – 20:00 = “Go Home for Dinner”, examine Window to enter the UFO

There’s a bug on nintendo switch version which prevents you from progressing. I don’t know if this Bug is present on PC, but at the UFO, simply turn “Auto Mode” to make Texts auto-advance. This will prevent the Bug (text stuck and not progressing).

Ending Sequence.

Mrs.Yang Route (True Ending)

Required Key Items:

• Red Booklet = Will automatically be in your bag after you cleared Old Ge Route
• Kang Motor = Beat Song Jian route
• Envelope = Beat Father or Uncle route
• Aluminium Pot = at Aluminium Factory

No item will be lost or retained. After clearing this route, your items in the next loop will be the same as the items you have at the beginning of this loop

Walkthrough:

• 8:00 – 10:00 = “Go Home”, The door will be knocked twice, Go outside and Knock the neighbor’s door (Mrs. Yang) multiple times, you can enter the apartment, DON’T examine anything, simply press Right to talk to Mrs. Yang and choose all options until eventually you can give her Aluminium Pot and Red Booklet
• 10:00 – 12:00 = “Go to Children’s Palace”, Talk to Mrs.Yang and Big Cao multiple times, Present Kang Motor to Big Cao
• 12:00 – 14:00 = Do whatever
• 14:00 – 16:00 = “Go Home”, Knock and Enter Mrs.Yang’s apartment, talk to her and try to wake her up, Open your bag and select Envelope to tear it multiple times.
• 16:00 – 22:00 = Do whatever, at “Dawning Park”, you’ll talk to everyone being fulfilled with their day. You’ve created A Perfect Day for everyone

The End!

You can keep playing to finish up Side Quests, Achievements, and other optional stuff.
