Bahamut2-Dragon’s Bride – How to Beat Every Boss on Any Difficulty

Important Foreword

Сrеdit gоеs to SirCrashtonII!

Please do not read this guide if you are on your first playthrough. This game has very fun mechanics and I would deeply regret having spoiled someone on them.

After finding these strategies, the game also became way more boring because all bosses had literally 0 challenge. I recommend leaving these strategies for a second playthrough where you just want to destroy everything and take revenge on the justice god after committing lots of murders.

Method 1: Infinite SP

This method is quite easy to pull off provided you are not early in the game, and works with all builds so long as you have the magic classes unlocked.

It is recommended although not required to learn the SP Reserve passive skills from various magic classes such that you can start a battle with SP which makes performing this method easier.

There is a skill called SP Absorption. This skill is learned by using HP Absorption and then Magic Mutation. (HP Absorption is learned by leveling up the Wizard class, while Magic Mutation is learned by leveling up the Priest class. As such, both classes are prerequisites for this method.)

Once you have SP Absorption, take a look at what it does. SP Absorption absorbs ~30 SP from one enemy, effectively granting the user 30 additional SP. Since SP is what is needed for turns, this would be too powerful alone, so it has two limitations.

  • 1: SP Absorption costs 10 SP, bringing down effective SP generation to ~20
  • 2: SP Absorption has a cooldown of 3, meaning you need to take 3 actions before using it again

These factors combined would normally make SP Absorption more of a convenience than anything, simply allowing a little more SP than normal. However, there is a series of accessories that brings this skill from useful to completely game-breaking.

  • 1: Stone of Eldia – SP costs are all 1/2 (Obtained at Celia Favorability 70)
  • 2: The Lord of the Rings – SP costs are all 1/3 (Obtained in coffin after end of Mission 18 regardless of ending)
  • 3: Miracle Ring – SP costs are all 1/4 (If I remember correctly, Obtained at Celia Favorability ~40)

When not combined with SP Absorption, these accessories are already the best in the game, and can stack with each other. However, if skills cost 66% less, then that includes SP Absorption.

With Stone of Eldia and The Lord of the Rings equipped, SP Absorption will cost only 3 SP, and it is easy to use other skills that also cost low SP until the 3 turn cooldown is ended and you can use SP Absorption again.

As such, you can repeatedly use SP Absorption followed by other cheap skills to easily replenish SP infinitely and as such have infinite turns. With infinite turns, every boss in the game can do nothing against you and will all die so long as you are patient.

Method 2: ATK Stacking

This method is more effective the more money you have and the more classes you have unlocked and as such necessitates large amounts of grinding to be used effectively. It also forces you into an ATK build. It is also far more fun to use than Infinite SP, allowing for endless entertainment and quick destruction of any enemy. This can also be used together with Infinite SP for super easy mode.

The second method of breaking game balance is to utilize as many methods of boosting ATK together at once, with staggering results. This works fundamentally on the fact that bonuses stack multiplicatively (ex. two +100% ATK bonuses = 400% ATK), and as such becomes more effective the more bonuses that can be stacked at once. I will list each bonus in descending order of power along with how to get them.

God of Hand-to-Hand Combat (100% ATK Bonus)

Unlocking this bonus requires a lot of steps that I will go into the bare minimum detail on here.

  1. Win all levels of the Group Arena in Clear’s home village
  2. Go to Blue Hat Shop (on an island south of Clear’s home village, requires dragon flight which requires all locations to have been visited) and talk to the man with blue hat who is at the top left of the shop interior. When prompted to pick a price, 10,000 is the best price he will accept so use this price to buy the key.
  3. Go to at least three of the shining doors that you could not enter earlier in the game. Inside you must go through a weird dungeon and then fight a boss. The boss drops a God Stone, which you need, so I recommend using Survival Master’s explosive skill to guarantee the God Stone dropping. They will then drop a weapon or armor, and you need at least three of these.
  4. There will be a large snowy island you can only get to by dragon, and the dragon can only land in the bottom right corner of the island. In the northern part of the island is an igloo, which you need to walk to. Inside will be a blacksmith, who you need to sacrifice 3 of the weapons/armors from the gods to in order to unlock his strengthening. Make sure that you don’t care about the equipment you sacrifice, because they will be lost forever.
  5. Now you can finally ask for your fists to be strengthened, which requires a God Stone, and obtain the bonus.

Alternatively, Saint Seiya class obtains a version of this bonus that is 75%, if you decide this is too much of a pain to go through with. However, there are other rewards from this such as the Boundless Mana cloak, so I recommend getting all the god gear if you want maximum power.

Destruction Stance (100% ATK Bonus)

The Destroyer class(which I will explain how to get in the next section) learns Destruction Stance as one of their level up skills. This stance doubles ATK at the cost of dropping both DEF and MDF to 0, which seems bad but really isn’t because of what I’ll tell you to do later. Anyway, just learn this stance and then turn it on in the General section of the skills menu whenever you want to double your ATK.

Destroyer Class (50% ATK Bonus)

The Destroyer’s passive bonuses are 50% ATK increase(the strongest class ATK boost in the game) and +10% Crit Rate which is always nice for an ATK build.

To get the Destroyer class you need to unlock Shore Boathouse, which is located in the far south of the huge magic forest area on the continent with the green icon in teleport mode. This area is also a requirement for unlocking the dragon, in case you still need that. In the top left corner of the huge forest there will be a crazy man who you have to beat up until he leaves to shore boathouse. Go to shore boathouse and there you will find the crazy man on the dock who asks you to find his axe. Leaving into the huge forest from shore boathouse, a little to the right there is a gravestone. If you go north from this gravestone for a little while, you will find an axe on the ground which is the item you need. After getting it, you may go back to the crazy man and he will offer to teach you the class.

Alternatively you can use the Brave class which boosts all stats including SP by 30%, which might honestly be better than Destroyer even for attacking but the goal of this build is to maximize ATK completely, and the difference between 50% ATK and 30% ATK is fairly noticeable.

Athletic King Belt – Super (20% ATK Bonus)

You can get this accessory from winning the final level of the Solo Arena battles. I think there are a few other accessories that boost ATK, but most of them have a 10% ATK Bonus instead of a 20%. If you want you can load up Clear with multiple ATK boosting accessories then go ahead, but for any serious battle I always use the accessories specified in Method 1 even when not using the method because they are just that good.

In battle you can raise your ATK multiplier even higher. ATK buffs can raise your attack by 100% if applied 4 times, Gather Strength can raise the ATK of your next action by 50%, and the Courage Blessing(learned by using Bless, Strength Enhancement, and then Physical Shield) raises ATK by 30%. If starting with 6x ATK, all of these combined can add up to ~23.5x ATK. With ATK accessories, this multiplier can go above 30x.

Now that your ATK is multiplied by an obscene number, you should start finding ways to raise your base ATK value. The next section will teach how to do that in detail.

Method 2: ATK Stacking (Part 2)

Back to Amakusa spamming

As a basic prerequisite, this method is not even remotely realistic without the Pet Mail Order skill which is learned from leveling up the Warcraft class obtainable by catching a vegan piranha from the end of a side path in the vertical and horizontal valley with a new random encounter. After catching, go to the inn in Qinghe Town and speak to the orange haired person for the class.

In the Pet Mail Order shop you can buy an item called Back to Amakusa for 3,000 each. You will need a lot of these so I recommend going to one of two places for money grinding. Both of these methods are improved by using the Festive Moment outbreak learned from the Survival Expert Trainer when the rare and valuable encounters are found.

  1. Dragon Island is the best spot for money grinding before the first ending
  2. After the first ending go to the weird island on the center of the world. Make your way to the 3rd floor of the weird area(you can figure it out on your own) and then go back down to the second floor. On the second floor, the stairs to the third floor have an extra encounter on them that is the most rewarding in the game in terms of EXP and money.

Now that you have lots and lots of money, buy as many Back to Amakusa items as you can. Then, pick a stat from the list below that you are fine with decreasing down to 0. They are in my preferred order of least useful stats to most useful stats (at least for this build).

  1. Def & MDF (They are already dropped to 0 by Destruction Stance, so might as well dump these stats. The least useful of the stats even without Destruction Stance)
  2. Dex (We are maximizing ATK, so this stat does not matter.)
  3. Mat (This stat is useful for healing spells and AOE if you don’t have other AOE skills. Not necessary if you already have the strongest healing skills like Oracle that does percentage healing/gas gathering that heals based on ATK, or if you have ATK based AOE skills such as Gas Cannon, but if you don’t have either of these then I don’t recommend dumping Mat to 0.)
  4. Agi (This stat is used for how fast you generate SP in battle. If you dump it to 0 then you will need to be constantly relying on Method 1 to do anything which can get quite boring. I strongly recommend not dumping this stat to 0, and if fact maybe even raising it to 4000-5000 is a good idea)

Once you have chosen a stat to dump to 0 (ex. Def) then use everything you have to boost it. Equip a class with the largest Def bonus (if i remember correctly 30%), Equip the strongest Def boosting armor you have, use accessories that boost Def, and use any stances that boost Def.

Now, use Back to Amakusa on Physical Defense(if that is the stat you’ve chosen). This will decrease base Defense(again, if that is the stat you picked) by 50 and grant you 50 stat points. Do this until you run out of Back to Amakusa or Def goes down enough that you are not allowed to decrease it further. Now you have lots and lots of stat points that can all go straight into raising ATK. You can now go grind more money to buy more Back to Amakusa and then pick more stats to maximize and then drop to 0. If I remember correctly after dropping all my other stats to 0, I could raise my base attack to ~15000-20000.

Class Leveling

This method is quite simple. Pick a class not at level 99 and then level it up to 99, preferably using Exercise Stance combined with the 2nd grinding spot listed above. This has the benefit of raising all stats, allowing for more Back to Amakusa grinding, but the bonuses to ATK itself aren’t that high.

Strong Seed Spamming

This method is also quite simple and can be done forever but also kind of slow. On the first floor of the 2nd grinding spot, there is a merchant selling seeds. 1000 G is worth 1 stat point, no matter what you buy. This means that 1000 ATK will run the cost of 1,000,000 G which is not impossible to get in the 2nd grind spot but still fairly slow. Can be done in parallel to Class Leveling.

By combining all of these methods you can eventually raise your base ATK to ~20,000 without too much trouble, which when combined with the 6x multiplier will allow you to have ~120,000 ATK. When combined with the 23.5 multiplier without accessories that brings you up to ~468,000 ATK, and with the 30 multiplier from accessories you get ~618,000 ATK.

Fun fact, having over 500,000 ATK is good. The most efficient fists attack SP-Damage wise is Sixteen Strikes, and if you have 500,000 ATK then this attack will deal roughly 8,000,000 damage. Using the Eldia Stone and The Lord of the Rings brings the cost of Sixteen Punches down to 19 SP. A full loop of Gather Strength, Sixteen Punches, Gather Strength, Sixteen Punches, Courage Blessing, Concentrated Energy costs ~57 SP, so on my Clear with 245 SP (with Boundless Mana equipped), I can do 8 full strength Sixteen Punches in a row after a full SP restore. This will deal ~64,000,000 damage, which is easily enough to kill every enemy in the game, and this doesn’t even account for the fact that I could use Thirty-two Heavenly Fist when my BP gets to full(Sixteen Punches would charge it quickly) which does more damage and costs 0 SP. This also does not account for the high amount of critical hits I would be getting which would all damage the hit of any given attack, so in reality the damage would be easily above 100,000,000. You can also just use Hundred Steps Qigong which is way worse but probably still good enough and also looks cool and also doesn’t require you to go back and forth between attacks over and over to benefit from buffs.

The Hollow Pain of Being the Best

Here is me easily defeating Celia Phase 7 (hardest boss in the game to my knowledge) on Difficulty while playing extremely suboptimally and still easily winning. This is the fate that awaits you if you follow this guide. As such, you should not follow this guide. The bosses are fun to fight, and character building is enjoyable. Maybe do this once ever after having played the game normally. I, for one, am going to replay the entire game on Lone Wolf difficulty while not using either of these tricks so that I can actually have fun.

Anyway, SP Absorption is ridiculously OP and buffs stacking multiplicatively is too (although not nearly as much, and it’s only really a problem for ATK because of how many buffs you can stack at once).
