Guide to Endings

By Lapis

After you getting into the up the spindle and barsthrum flies off in a ship, move to the big pyramid in the north with the mover.

In the very top room in the pyramid there is a set of 3 things in the top right you can interact with.

Assuming you didn’t already kill the two things that were in that room and open the thing they were guarding.

Hold off on fighting with hexacherub.

You can but there’s three hologram projectors on the other side of the room you wanna check out first.

There’s broadly 5 endings but there’s a couple extra variations:

  1. You can leave on the ship, with or without barathrum.
  2. You can make resheph enter a covenant with you to improve the world in hopes of the Coven returning one day.
  3. You can give your assent and assistance for Resheph to continue cleansing the surface in the hopes he can entice the Coven to return.
  4. You can refuse to make a covenant and return to qud, either destroying resheph by opening the ark on the other side of the room or leaving him alive.
  5. You can miss the starship, destroy resheph, but lose your golem in the process, in which case you are stranded forever in space.

A ton of choices factor into the specifics of the epilogue so it’s hard to boil everything down but those are the broad directions.

What’s the coven anyway?

The coven is space society. A collection of other hypertech civilizations from far worlds.

The Ark is the thing those two guys are guarding.

Earth and the eaters were a member of the coven until something happened and they abandoned earth, and resheph has spent a long time freaking out about that and trying to figure out what they did wrong and how to get them to come back.
