Classified: France ’44 – Morale Explained

Morale Explanatory Guide

Сrеdit gоеs to !

Morale – Every human unit in Classified: France ’44, friend and foe, has a blue Morale bar beneath their health. We want to represent in CF44 that battles and being shot at have a real world effect on people, and receiving a volley of bullets isn’t the easiest thing to just shake off.

It also ensures that every shot counts, so if you aren’t able to connect to inflict physical damage, you can perhaps turn the tide in your favour since every shot at player units will deal Morale damage, friend and foe alike, so don’t get too hasty blasting your Trench Gun near allies.

Suppressed – If a unit’s Morale bar is reduced to 50% they will enter the Suppressed state. This will reduce their Action Point pool (AP) by 50% as well, which severely limits what that unit will be able to achieve as it’s unlikely they will be able to move and shoot in a single turn. A Suppressed unit also has their accuracy reduced.

Broken – If a unit’s Morale bar is completely drained, they will be pinned in place and miss their next turn, unless a friendly can Rally them up or provide morale support.

There’s also the more technical details about increased Crit Chances and Flanking etc. which is covered in the tutorials but would be ideal to add as Training Manual entries too.
