How to Earn Lots of Money
By Nyagger.
Music Level Requirements
- You need Music Level 40.
- At Level 40, no NPCs will throw stones at you during performances.
How to Level Up Music:
- You must perform for NPCs (playing alone won’t work).
- You get experience when:
- NPCs give you money.
- NPCs throw stones.
- NPCs comment on your music.
Performance Icons:
- Green music note = NPC likes your music
- >< symbol = NPC dislikes your music
- Vein symbol = NPC is bored and stopped listening
Tips:
- When NPCs get bored, find new listeners or go to another town
- You can use any instrument, including the basic starter lute
What Actually Makes Money
- Take performance quests from the quest board.
- These can be found in two towns:
- Palmia (Northeast from your starting point in Meadow, near the snow).
- Lumiest (inside a volcano, Southeast of Palmia).
How to Start:
- Begin with simple quests.
- Look for ones that need 150-200 points.
- As you get better, take on harder quests with higher point requirements.
That’s the basic process for earning money in the game. It’s a good system to follow as you progress.
Getting Points:
- Your score depends on two things: audience size and how well you play.
- When you start, quickly find a big crowd.
- You have about 10 turns to perform before time runs out.
- Use the instrument in the middle of the area (usually harp or harpsichord).
Point System:
- No reaction = less than 50 points.
- Some applause = 50-100 points.
- Regular applause = 100-150 points.
- Applause with cheering = more than 150 points.
Getting Money:
- Taking performance requests pays better than playing on the street.
- Different types of people give different amounts:
- Shop owners give average money.
- Higher level characters and special named characters give more.
Tips:
- Don’t worry about failing the quest – you only lose some fame and karma points.
- You keep all money you earn even if you fail.
- Practice playing each instrument’s songs, especially harp and harpsichord.
- Playing a full song gives more points than stopping halfway.
- Bring your own instrument in case you can’t find a crowd quickly.
