Faeland – How to Start

Here are some quick things to get the game going.

Starter Tips

Beginning at the Spider Caves

It took me awhile to figure out where to go with no weapons or clothes. This part was not in the tutorial, but you can move big square-shaped stones.

In the spider cave, that was the first thing I found out and was able to finally start progressing with the game.

Explore as much as you can. Check your map and move the cursor to the treasure box icons to confirm if you have or have not yet claimed the treasure.

In the beginning, find the dead (not so successful) bodies of past adventurers and get shoes, pants, and a shirt.

You will want to find pieces of cloth which will be used to upgrade to better clothes. You will first find bracers at one of the statue locations which will help you grab and climb ledges.

After you get this, you’ll be able to get to more rooms. Eventually, you will also find roll dodge skill.

Where Do I Get a Weapon?

After you get the roll skill and bracers, you will explore and eventually get out of the spider cave and to the forest area where there are goblins with spears.

You will push a round bolder to kill off a few of them camping inside a hollowed out tree log with a save campfire and get your first weapon, a stick!

With the stick you can take on the Spider boss now. Stash up on food before the battle. You can roll dodge past the webs he spits at you.

Be sure to beat down the smaller spiders so you don’t get overwhelmed. He looks scare, but goes down pretty easy.

The next weapon after the stick will be an axe. You get this one in the first town after you accept a side quest from the farmer.

To find the underwater tunnel, get to the docks where the fisherman is, jump in and hug the wall on the left, there is a secret wall that will reveal an opening.

Travel through to get inside of a room and the iron ore is in a chest there. Take that to the blacksmith with the needed coins and you get the axe.

How to Beat Bandit Boss

  • Get the leather doublet, wield the scimitar, and possess all three magic flasks (four if you want to go back).
  • As soon as the sword and shield bandits appear, kill them. They can’t even act before you kill them. Give them priority since they can move the furthest.
  • The archers rank second, the twin daggers rank third, Yuson ranks fourth, and the sword and spear rank fifth.

I’ve discovered that you’ll quickly be overrun if you don’t take this action. However, completing this left me with Yuson and two dudes with swordspears, who I chose to ignore because they were far away from the monster and slow. With a few hearts left over, I filled three flasks.

Hang in there, Yuson has the hardest gimmick to date!
