Fish Card Upgrades

Fish card upgrades are affordable, which makes them my top priority. These upgrades provide consistent value without breaking the bank.

Gear Upgrades (Legendary Rods Only)

Only use coins to upgrade legendary rods. Maxed-out legendary rods are significantly better in duels compared to maxed-out rare rods. I learned this the hard way after prioritizing the ALMA TANGUERA (a rare T1 rod), and now I need to go back and focus on leveling up my legendary T1 rods. This is crucial for staying competitive in Diamond and Champion leagues, when fishing in T1 fisheries.

Angler Career

While angler career upgrades are expensive, they are also important. I personally try to max out every skill before moving on to the next, though I’m not entirely sure if this is the most efficient strategy. Still, it’s worked well for me so far.

Important notes

• This only works for the lower tiers.
• I would recommend to lvl up each skill just to the point you can lvl up the next one. And after that just max them out.
• They get so damn expensive you loose out on many upgrades if you do it your way.

Carbon Fiber

Rods Only (Legendary)

Carbon fiber should only be used to upgrade legendary rods. Avoid wasting this resource on anything else, as legendary rods are essential for long-term success.

Diamonds

Energy

It’s worth it to spend 30 diamonds for 30 energy daily. Depending on how many diamonds you have, purchasing 30 energy for 60 diamonds can also be a good investment.

Additional notes

I would recommend on spending some for the refresh in the chest shop (as often as you need it for the daily quest). There is a small chance you can get a legendary chest for free.

Also, I think it’s worth it to buy the leg chest, if it’s discounted (60%)

Gear, Fish Cards, and Materials

While both gear and fish cards feel a bit overpriced, carbon fiber can be worth spending diamonds on due to its scarcity. On the other hand, avoid spending diamonds on coins or wheel tickets, as they aren’t worth the price.

Real Money

If you’re willing to spend real money, I recommend purchasing the Premium Fishing License for either $8.99 or $9.99 which includes a level boost. The Premium Fishing License gives you a ton of legendary tackle boxes, which significantly speeds up your legendary rod progression. After reaching level 60 on the fishing license, all your remaining license EXP converts into coins at a 100x rate at the end of the season.
